Anything stirring on a few defenders? Goals conceded wasn't a problem last seasin but i don't think we want to be resorting to Smalling/Jones too often again this season. Attacking full backs be an idea too but we obviously unlikely to change entire back 4.

Alderweild seems to be voicing his discontent about last season.

Just curious, how many World Cup winners have played for Manchester United? Either before, or after, a World Cup win.

Off the top of my head

Charlton & stiles from 66 possibly more in that England team but I wouldn’t be able to tell you.
    Barthez and Blanc 98
    Kleberson signed after winning WC
Mata was part of the 2010 squad I think
    And maybe Pique?

    And now Pogba

    Edit: oh Schweinsteiger

Highlighted what I think is our issue.

It seems as if there's superstars, but on the left side.

So we're stuck between either off-position superstars, or "very good" level right wingers, when we're looking to win the league :/

The only superstars on the right side most likely aren't available to us. Salah, Mbappe and Bale. Dembele, Sterling and Douglas Costa in the next tier and none of them are really likely atm either, which means you're left with the very good tier.

I'd like Willian even with his age, but outside of him someone like Malcom, Martins or even Sarr might be good bets. Not sure anyone suits Mourinho more than Willian though whilst providing some strong attacking player. Maybe Angel Correa but bit of a risk.

I think you have it backwards, if we change anything it needs to be the full backs.

To be honest I don't see why we would bother getting another CB this window? Not just because we are well stocked in the position, or because we already have recent purchases there, but mainly because I can't see what is out there that is so much better than what we already have?

We might not have Ferdinand and Vidic but damn sure nobody else has either. I know why people are down on Jones and Smalling but Bailly and Lindelof should be ready to step up now and the others are perfectly adequate as cover, when we have so many positions need addressing I see little value in worrying about the one position we are relatively ok in.

Right wing and Left back should be priority, if both positions aren't upgraded then its going to be a long season with **** all chance of a title.

A top class CB would be good but definitely down the wish list.

I hate when teams of the tournaments or teams of the year have players just shoe horned in the wrong positions.

That team also has to be a troll

This fella saying we have a bid in for Sandro, 30million+Darmian.

    https://twitter.com/Malachians

The guy who had the interview with Lukaku after he signed - has some contacts at least at the club.

Says Woodward is pushing hard for Bale but Jose thinks he is wasting his time.

Says he has not heard of us being after anyone else and feels Sandro, if it gets done, could be the last signing.

On quick reading, that fifa world cup team is a fake one

Mbappe, Neymar, Lukaku, Cavani etc all played from wide positions during the world cup.

I have no major problem with United asking a forward to play from there next season.

A left back, as the final signing would not be exciting but a left back to add to Fred would, at least, address major flaws from last season. At that point the platform for the likes of Sanchez and Pogba should be there.

It would be great to have more players come in but only if they are a real improvement in quality over what the club have.

The right back positon needs to be better, I still think Valencia was under strong instruction last season to be cautious, if he is free to get forward he should be more effective. The world cup is an obvious example where guys like Meunier, Trippier, Vrsaljko or Pavard were very effective. United need that next season.

Philip is blacklisted from both reddit and redcafe I think, he’s a known bull****ter though he does know people within the club his “source” isn’t very good transfer wise. Pretty sure I heard he paid huge money for the Lukaku interview last year. It was win win for him, he gets to say that he is in the know and has his twitter followers hanging on to every word.

Now he may be right but I wouldn’t trust him myself and id look at DiMarzio and his crew being the first one to break anything about Sandro properly I’d say. DiMarzio has sources inside clubs on his payroll.

Agreed i think he speaks through his hole, is good pals woth ronny wallwork or someone simikar and thats prob his 'source'. Theres no way a LB and that alone is our only priority

Bonucci has reportedly handed in a transfer request, as he is unimpressed with the team's ambition.

We should be all over that

Sandro for 30m + Darmian would be a tidy bit of business although De Brun is a bull****ter.

Just Google to see what happen to Victor Valdes he retired last year at the age of 35 that's an unreal young age for a keeper. I guess he didn't want to play unless he was at the top he had nothing to prove or work for had won it all.

What does being cautious have to do with putting in a load of terrible crosses? He's been the same for 5 years. Was so bad going forward as a right mid that he was moved to right back, gets more space going forward and continues to be rubbish at it.
