BMW e60 530d electronic actuator problem

    I have a 2005 BMW E60 530D and it gained a problem with the turbo not working
    I pulled a code from it saying there was a actuator fault
    so i got a ACTUATOR REPAIR KIT witch replaced the actuator motor and plastic screw
    and when we reconnected it it was actually worse and had nearly no power
    I did in my Friends as he has the tools
    we just disconnected the actuator altogether and the car now runs fine again but without the turbo boosting
    fault code is also gone
    i hope to have a look at it again in a week or so when i get back to his place
    but I was just wondering if anyone had a idea
    is it possible the actuator is actually turning the opposite way or something
    it just seems weird that it actually went worse and not better
    but there was a change in it however
    it was the existing electronic actuator we put the parts in so there is no pairing to the car required anyway so i am guessing we installed it wrong if that is possible ?
    any suggestions appreciated I know we have to examine to accurately tell I just thought it was odd and as i cant get back a week or so to examine i thought i would ask for a opinion

    You are fully aware that these actuators fail what happens is in the electronics part of the actuators they heat up so badly that the solder joints break down thus causing electronic faults. Now trust me I’ve tried over the years to fix these and got anywhere from a day to a month out of them.
    Ur fix is a new turbo. Ur not the first and u won’t be the last to put a new turbo on a e60 I’ve fitted dozens. By the way it’s not a turbo overhaul u need it’s a new turbo. The repair crowds don’t have access to the electronic parts it’s only main dealers that do and u can’t buy the electronics part on its own you must buy a full turbo

    Just make sure when there inspecting it that they have a new turbo ready to rock
