    Hi folks

Had the aircon recharged and serviced in a Toyota main dealer just over a year ago. Noticed a few months ago the aircon wasn’t working properly, not cooling the air, and a slight hissing noise coming from the interior vents. Brought in back to main dealer and am being quoted circa 700 for a new condenser fitted, due to a leak.

Have rang a few places to get other quotes but can’t find anyone to do the job.any advice?

Try an a/c specialist? If the condenser is gone it'll have to be replaced.

As the aircon system in the Prius has an electric compressor (not belt-driven), it's a bit different from most other cars. Unfortunately you may be limited in who can (or is willing to) deal with this.

Different style of compressor but to replace condenser is not any different not sure why you are having issues with quotes.
