So I taught it might be useful to continue on the tradition of having a thread going for the Cap 2 exams.

Good place for everyone to discuss/share insights etc!

I am doing 2 Cap1 exams and 2 Cap2 exams this summer , specifically ( Law for accountants and Financial accounting in Cap1) and (audit & assurance and strategic finance & management accounting in Cap2) , I wonder has anyone done this before and how did they find it ?

Anybody have any info re the SFMA IA.. think it's pretty obvious what the Q's are??

For the SFMA IA - check out ACA Revisions - CAP2 Assignments online where you can sign up for tutorials in the SFMA IA - apparently they were really helpful to those last year.

Hey, sounds good. where can i find this info? is it on the recordings page? Does anyone know what might be asked from the SFMA theory question ?

    Thanks

The SFMA theory looks like it will be sources of finance

yea it does, debt finance i think. And an NPV Q and some management accounting on decision making. Relevant costing was the tip- all costs borne by IGD are irrelevant I think and so would be ignored ?

Yeah only take into account the costs to DEE solely for the pro-am.. the wording of "net cost" kind of threw me. Net of what exactly?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5 greensheep123

Net cost mean after tax maybe? it usually says ignore taxation..maybe this one is after tax?

Net cost sounds almost like a budget to me.. they know they'll make a loss and the most they're willing to make is €200k?

The ACA Revision course for SFMA is not a CAI lead thing but is directly applicable. I cant add the link here but if you google 'ACA Revisions' and it is the first link that comes up - then on the right hand side it says 'CAP2 Assignment Courses' - click that and then on that page you scroll down and select your location. Each course is €/£50

Note that the BELFAST one is not going ahead.

Seems very little work that can be done to prepare for the NPV question as most the info we are not getting until the day

18th of May. Just realised that I have replied to the wrong question before. No idea when mocks results are out, but IA audit results are out on the 18th of May

You'll probably have to get in contact with them directly. If you have a doctors cert they can deffer your exam fee so you wouldn't have to pay. If not, you have to enroll on the repeats online. I think it's about €100 per subject.
