Best Scala resources for experienced Java Devs?

    Hi, my team are looking to ramp up quickly on Scala (going working on product with some sections written in this).

    We are all experienced Java Devs with the majority having 10+ years experience in that language. What are the best resources for people in our boat?

    Scala for the Impatient is written by Cay S. Horstmann of Core Java fame, it's target audience is experienced Java/C# developers. It's objective is to get you productive quickly using Scala without necessarily transitioning from OOP to FP, so if your intention is to use Scala as a better Java it would be a good starting point.

    Scala for the Impatient (Second Edition)

    Programming in Scala (Third Edition) is written by the language creator, Martin Odersky, it will teach you the ins and outs of the language.
