Wanted to come back to the club but can't face moving back to the north of England and what that entails, mainly the weather. That narrative has come out too many times not to have some substance to it. Doing it in a third league for a third huge club fits his legacy a lot better than going back to a league he's dominated before. I don't think he was ever realistically coming back regardless of what United did

    Lads Ronaldo

Ok 100,000,000 and his wages astronomical but he would have brought us a league title or two surely

I just can't get head around it

He is a juve player and will not retire at man utd

    Just a thought

But maybe we bid and he didn't want to come back?

I know, given the links to us every single summer, that might surprise some people. But maybe no level of interest from us would have topped getting to live in Italy banging in hatricks for the next four years and being garunteed to become a player to win multiple different leagues?

    Maybe.

If he had have made that move to Juve or any other team two seasons ago, I'd have felt something. As it is though, I saw the headline last week and it barely registered with me.

I say that with some surprise to myself. Like you Dark Knight, I was always fond of the idea of Ronaldo seeing out his career at United, quite hopeful too. I just realised last week though that most of that hope really died some time ago. Truth be told, when he didn't move back two Summers ago when Mourinho came in, I felt that that was the boat missed for good.

No doubt he will perform well for Juventus in Serie A, I hope he does, but I'm okay that he/we/whoever chose to let the past lie. Also, I'm not so sure as others that he would guarantee us a league title or two. The man is still a machine of course, but that Real team are very different to United.

Do you never tire of posting these short appeal to the masses acerbic type of posts that probably don't appeal to many??

Astra and others can make/defend their own points without you constantly jumping in with these smart (to you)put downs..

    Sorry hun xo

    Maybe.

I read/heard during the week that he thinks he can win the CL at June and have won it at 3 clubs.

That and not wanting to subject himself to the weather in Manchester.

The most reliable source in Netherlands is reporting the want it done before United fly out to US

I just can't get head around it

It would have been a move that didn't suit either side, what is there to get?

Ship has long sailed and with Jose at United was never going to happen imo.

Anyway, we can always look back and remember when we had the greatest player in history in his prime playing for us.

    Legend

Fiat workers to go on strike - because Juventus signed Cristiano Ronaldo http://jrnl.ie/4124977

I can kinddddd of see their logic. It is rather telling though that the largest union for those workers is having none of it.

West Ham doing great business this summer. Looking like filipe anderson joining them next.

Harry Maguire is better than all of our centre halves apart from Bailly. I dont see what the issue is

Lanzini's season being over already is a huge blow for him and the club. Horific injury altogether.

If we sign Maguire I will cry. Hes not even international standard.

I just refuse to believe it.

Haven’t read that article yet but Supposedly there has been murmurs that Fiat are going to be subsidising his wages thru sponsorship deals and the like, basically allowing Juve to stay in line with FFP regulations

On the website it’s all “according to the daily mail” so they haven’t even got any confirmation from their sources (twitter)

I don't want us to sign Maguire, we should be aiming for better but he's def not as bad as some people are making out.

Thats debatable and for arguments sake say he is better than the rest,he is only a slight improvement on what's at The club.
If United are serious about getting back to the top then Maguire as a starter isn't going to cut it.

I think and hope this rumour is bull**** .
