    Hey guys,

Just something that came into my head today.

Can the OEM Toyota Touch 2 Head Unit Display be adjusted to show steering lines when reversing?

At the moment its more of a static grid that shows.

    Thanks

    Tommy

Nope, fixed lines only on the same system in the CH-R.

Some Toyota units do have the dynamic guidelines alright.

Interesting. Just saw a thread online for a different brand which put it into my head.

A few american forums have suggested going into diagnostic mode on the head unit but I've never tried this for my parents.

Any experience yourself colm? I'd be half tempted to give it a go next time I'm home

I’d imagine the radio would need an input from the ECU to determine the steering angle. I’m assuming it doesn’t have this otherwise they’d have done it.

I only know from checking the manual, the cheapest eBay specials have the same grid lines!

Yeah interesting alright. Perhaps it may have been some kind of upgrade.

On american toyota forums certain models were shown this as possible. I believe it worked on a 2015 yaris to.

I'd love to give it a go but hate messing with this kind of thing in a car thats not mine.

Hopefully my next rental will be a toyota with the same head unit out here before I head home. No shame playing with the rental companies toys :pac:
