Hope Lukaku plays Saturday and I hope he scores 3. It sickens me to think Kane is going to win the golden boot, he was awful right through the tournament. 3 penalties and 1 that deflected in off him. Rubbish winner.

He was good for England in this tournament, they just don't have a playmaker that will create chances for him.

Oops wrong thread but still. Maybe not muck but seemed sloppy at times, couple of balls just given away. Making it somewhat united related I think if pogba had a game like he did tonight he'd have gotten stick.
    Or maybe I'm drunk :/

He was poor enough in the first half but really stepped up and covered so much ground in the second, everything that Croatia did ran thru him and Perisic..

Rare as this may be but this is something I 1000% agree with you on. If Kane wins the olden boot with 6 goals (as it is often the winning total) for scoring 2 against Tunisia, 3 (inc 2 penos plus a graze against his leg which he knew nothing about) against Panama (two of the worst teams in the competition) plus another peno against Columbia it'll be a joke.

He wouldn't unless you plan on playing him out of position.

    Ronaldo is a clever boy,
He has gone to a big club that will be almost guaranteed another league title with ,Who are so far ahead of the rest of the teams he will 100% score goals., That a always do well in the Champions league .
If he went to United he'd be going back into a totally unforgiving league at the back end of his career where success would not be guaranteed and he good turn out to be a failure or even end the season out of the first 11.,
Juve and Italy is the easy option for him

We ain't that good that Ronaldo would not get his place.. unfortunately

De Telegraf, tier one for Ajax news, says United want the Blind deal done quick before the lads head off on tour, and Ajax want it done quick before they play a few qualifier games. So both are pushing to get it done in the next 48 hours.

Liverpool not winning the champions league and England not winning the world cup in the space of few months!!!

We have a lot to be thankful for lads!

And an early exit for Mayo

Alli has 1 position and that is central behind the striker. He isn't a winger.

I'd still rather have Lingard there.

Where does eriksen play for spurs then?

Also the formation im on about for utd is 4-3-2-1

Don't spurs play a 3 at the back. Meaning they get width going forward with their wing backs, allowing Alli and Eriksen to play more central.

We play a flat back 4 so we need width in attack. Playing the 2 as you are suggesting just wouldn't work in a flat back 4, it only works in a 3 at the back formation.

    Spurs play 4-2-3-1.

Son left, alli central, eriksen right but they both interchange

Spurs seem to mix it about a bit, last season they played 4231 a lot but played 3 at the back plenty of times either in a 3421 with Alli and Eriksson behind Kane or 352. They have played 4141 a few times too with Alli and Eriksson as AM and Sissoko on the right and son on the left. They aren’t really set to a specific formation though and are tailored to the opposition

Considering Kane finishing top nets me €200, I hope both teams just field their second string sides again :D

So who will get dropped between Pogba and Fred if we were to play a 4231 and accommodate Alli.

I doubt we will be playing anything other than a 433 and if we were to play a 4231 it would be Pogba more than likely being the central player.

He scored 13 goals for us last season, 11 season before, 8 before that and he is only 20.

The most exciting young player at th club. No need for him to go anywhere. A very important player for us this season

How many of those goals were before Sanchez was signed?

Sanchez is going to play the majority of games and then you have Martial.

It would be better for him and for united long term if he got a decent loan to someone like Everton under Silva.

I was saying if united were to move to a 4-3-2-1. Also think its the best formation for the players we have

We are still short of options in attacking areas. Rashford is a very important first team player. Not in a million years will he be loaned out

I'd keep Rashford ahead of Martial tbh. Just get Rashford the fcuk off set pieces tbh. Not only is he awful at them but its hardly helping the young lads confidence as he keeps shanking them awfully. Ashley Young should be our set piece taker.

No, Young needs to be replaced at left back.
Is Sandro any good at them?
