Amazon hassle.

    I ordered a HP Spectre x360 from Amazon on the 5th and it's still saying preparing for dispatch.

    I tried to cancel on the 7th because it was not updating and I'm going to Germany Friday so it will most likely arrive when I'm there.

    When I contacted them twice they said it's preparing for final dispatch and I am not able to cancel. What a joke.

    5 days and 0 update. They wouldn't tell me whether it was coming from China or not so I'm assuming it is.

    I'm not impressed that after a day they would not allow me to cancel , after 2 days etc, it's the 5th day and no update as to when it may arrive.

    I insisted I wanted a refund and they refused, saying it was too late.

    What happens is that it has to be delivered or sent back before I can get a refund which will take God knows how long.

    This is with Amazon themselves, has anyone else had any issues like this ?

    Was this laptop sold by Amazon themselves or a third party seller? I'm surprised you've had such trouble. I've never experienced that when talking to their customer service.

    Amazon direct.

    I got it this afternoon, my worry was that it would not arrive in time before I left for Germany.

    It was dispatched yesterday and arrived about 12 PM, that's what moaning and whinging does but in all fairness why do long in preparing for dispatch with no idea of delivery ? then to prevent refund because it was in "final dispatch" but it was in final dispatch the day after I ordered it.

    Anyway I have it now , I ordered it last Thursday so that's not so bad but if I had not done so much moaning to them I wonder would I have got it before next week ?

    I mean it sounds like a normal dispatch time really. They couldn't cancel as it appeared to be at packing stage in the warehouse, and it was the weekend. I'd say they are reluctant to chase packages in circumstances like this as you are able to just send it back for any reason when you receive it.

    Anyway, glad you got sorted anyway. Well wear.

    Cheers, yeah I know the weekend and all but it was early Thursday when i placed the order and I found it very unusual that it gave 0 estimate of delivery. That never happened before.


    I didn't want to go to the hassle of getting refund and having to re-order again.

    Good laptop alright. Great power and fantastic screen.

    I said goodbye to the Macbook , I loved it but wanted to go back to 15.6 inch and 15 inch macbook with equivalent spec is just ridiculous money.
