Wouldn't say no if we actually did bid for chucky. Think he was one the standout players in group stages. Worked incredibly hard around the pitch as well as looking very dangerous going forward.

Have feeling he is gonna be a big thing over next few years.

So ya he's going to barca!

Wildly off topic here, not really since it's beer being mentioned, but has anyone seen the Kopparberg 5 Litre kegs on sale?

Muppet mode, but Lozano has liked an Instagram post about the report we are after him

All I know about him is he was bloody fantastic on Fifa this year but hard to hybrid into teams.

Strolled into the office there and the guy who sits across from me is back from his holidays. Pumped his fist when I saw him, straight into the France and World Cup talk.

I know we can be very critical of players and judge harshly our own but it's a bit made the contrast in how most here have been judging Pogba and how the fans/media in France are.

He seems very happy with his contribution, even watching in the pub most seem to be his fan at the moment (not always the case). I saw a couple of articles here. One mentioned how well his partnership with Kanté has become stating:
Kanté adapts to him, Pogba flourishes

    and the other:
Between leadership and energy, Paul Pogba is a centerpiece of the French team.

It's possible it may be a case of when the wins are coming people paint over the cracks, or we just judge more harshly players. It's quite possibly the first as the French fans can do a 180 fairly quickly!

I just get constantly frustrated by the positions pogba takes up - for me he needs to be demanding the ball and dictating play. He is on the edge of the game too much imo. We need more determination and intensity from him.

Really hope we see some movement on transfers in and out of the club this week - time is quickly running out to get players in for the end of the window, never mind in for pre-season (if possible, considering post world cup rest for some possible targets).

Seeing rumours starting to come on the fanzine sites, from sources claimed to be getting info from the Jose camp, that he isn't happy that woodward hasn't moved on players like Blind and Darmian yet.

Closing the transfer window earlier than the rest of Europe and during a world cup summer.

Glad the teams thought this through before voting

I wouldn't be suprised Jose is píssed. They could barely be described as squad players tbh and we seem to be pricing them out of moves. And outside of Fred we haven't addressed any other deficencies in our starting line up.

I said it many times in the lead up to the vote on this by the clubs - it is INSANE that they voted for this. It only makes sense if the rest of football works to the same calendar.

As it stands, the teams will still be in for potential chaos and uncertainty cause Madrid could still be looking to sign De Gea or Courtois, or Barcelona coming in for Mane or Firmini, or whoever in europe coming in for whateever PL player.

Also means that lets say Madrid sign Mbappe in late August and go looking to sell Bale - well now United/City/Chelsea can't get involved - or if they look to sell or loan Asensio towards the end of the window - sh1t outta luck there Liverpool.

I honestly don't understand it and I really do think we could see a return to the old window for next summer.

United voted against it in fairness along with City Palace Swansea and Watford

It may of slipped through the cracks but I saw Southgate's interview after England's win. They mentioned about the regular starters in the team and he went on to say the rest of the squad deserve credit, the players who give their all each time in training, our man Phil Jones was first on his list I do believe.

On players moving on, I know Jones is an easy one people link to but I really think José likes him and it may be down to the effort he puts in. Only have heard positive things about his work-rate. Said this many times but I'm interested in seeing us giving the Bailly/Jones combo a go again. It was brilliant for us during the start of last season.

Not woodwards fault there isnt much interest in our players. Darmian and Blind will surely move on shortly all the same
