Rumours of Higuain to Chelsea, that would cover a good chunk of Ronaldo fee.

He wants 30m nett a year. So in Italy they have high tax so would be nearly 60m gross a year.. they would need to offload a few players to be able to justify thst

Last striker Chelsea got with previous Juve links hasn't exactly been great thus far....

My gripe with it was that it was used in relation to a deal that doesn't look anywhere close to being done.

Also (and to a different post) Fred looked a done deal a few weeks ago because it was. Contract signed, fee agreed, medical done, pictures done etc - just waiting for the work permit - no issue with that being called a done deal.

    With Sandro we have:

    Signed contract: No.
    Medical done: No.
    Fee agreed: No.
    Media pictures done: No.
    Interviews done: No.
    Work Permit applied for: No.

In what world does that look like a done deal?

Very same as mahrez to city.

None of them done, still close to a done deal

    I only mentioned the fee;)

Agreed it's Higuain,Sandro and probably a few lesser names that will fund it.

Probably get 60m each for those 2,that will Cover Ronnies wage for 2 seasons

He won't get close to that at Juve. My guess is they are letting him control the majority of his image rights or something.

I also don't think Juve will gut the team to accommodate Ronaldo. Likewise I don't think Ronaldo will join a non-competitive stripped down team. He'll still want to challenge for the CL, and I think that is a big part of why Juve are after him.

I’d say Dybala will move on as Allegri is staying too, they don’t get on pretty much

Dybala fell out with Allegri, Higuain will be moved on and Ronaldo in his place and Sandro has wanted to leave now for over a season so it’s not exactly gutting the place..

Anyways the wage is what he is looking for that was put out there by Mendes supposedly, I also don’t think Juve could/would pay that tbh

I'm actually massively surprised the press aren't even trying to link us into the story, just to generate clicks.

Nor are Ronnie's team using us to drive up contract offers, sale price, etc.

Cannot see Ronaldo playing under Jose at United.

Juventus are also a massive club. Better going there than to the U.S at this stage in his career

    Why?

They didnt end on the best terms and for the 3 years they worked together it was very tense.

Ronaldo also didnt like jose's defensive approach

You asked for the reason and thats it.

    Jose on ronaldo

"When I criticised him from a tactical point of view so he could improve, he did not accept what I had to say."

Plenty more swipes taken in the press. Ronaldo hit back on more than one occassion as well

I did a quick google and there are plenty of articles that say Jose's "negativity" did frustrate Ronaldo, despite the success it achieved for all involved.

He also said cristiano was not the "real" ronaldo

Yeah but it’s wasnt to do with an actual defensive approach to games it was that Ronaldo was asked to work hard for the team, the same way Ozil alluded to in his autobiography. He didn’t build his team around Ronaldo but around devestatingly quick transitions.

I dunno how you can call that football that was played in that record breaking year defensive.. it was brilliant to watch and sensational too

On a mildly amusing note, my young son is obsessed with Ronaldo. His Nan bought him a book last week about Ronaldo. Only it’s about the Brazilian Ronaldo; my son’s first question was “who’s this fake guy?”. I’ve persuaded him to read it anyway but I laughed.

Lets just move on here anyways.. and now our heads for Lord Tesco, as it’s being reported that there is a medical scheduled for Ronaldo in Turin :pac:

News now that Madrid have made an improvement in their contract offer to Ronaldo.

The greatest player of all time thought it was too defensive and the pair of them had a strained relationship, miles away from what ronaldo had with fergie or even zidane for that matter

I have an awful memory these days, does anybody happen to know what particular team holds the record for the most ever league goals scored in a season in La Liga?

    Some transfer gossip/bollix.

United to move for Shaqiri for £12 million.

Chelsea want Martial as part of a deal for Willian.

And for giggles, Liverpool are to keep Karius as number one after being priced out of moves for Oblak and Allison.

Shaqiri's work ethic makes me think he wouldn't get near us tbh. I'd guess if there's any substance in the stories, it dervies from his agent using us to get a better deal from Pool.

According to Reddit, this guy is Tier One for Ronaldo, and says that despite he meeting this evening, a Ronaldo is 99.9% likely to leave now.

If you'd asked me to do a list of teams he'd go to, I never would have put Juvi there.
