Tyre size

Hi all, Need to replace the rear tyres on my Z3, and I'm wondering what the widest tyre is that would fit. Currently I've 7.5jx17H2 with 225/45/17. I want to keep these wheels but would like to know how wide a tyre I can put on. Thanks
