I started this last week and im nearing the end of it,its definitely not a show you could binge watch as most episodes are nearly 2hrs long, but its shaping up to be the best documentary ive ever seen according to that wiki it took ten years to make and you can see why theres so much footage and first hand accounts from all sides in the war, thanks for the recommendation.

It, and other Ken Burns documentaries regularly appear on UK PBS if you have satellite TV. They really are terrific series.

What other subjects did he do docs on?

    The Vietnam one was amazing.

His WWII docu on Netflix is amazing, well worth a watch. He also has series on The West (as in cowboys and the frontier and rail tycoons), and the American Civil War. I haven't watched those two but they are very well regarded and excellently reviewed.

Both excellent if you get to see them, he did a shorter series on Prohibition and a really long series on Baseball, which is great despite me not really having an interest in the sport usually.

I couldn't find Crashing on Netflix

Is it on the Irish one?

Was able to watch it on the Channel 4 app. Very good show, a bit daft in the vein of Peep Show but if you liked Fleabag it's worth a watch.

2 questions,. How can one access the C4 app, and secondly why post on this forum if it's not on a Netflix stream

Use a laptop, or set the region of your TV to the uk(works if you have a Samsung TV, can't speak if using another TV. But if asked, Google a post code an enter it)

    1. Available from the apple app store, Google play and channel4.com
    2. The original recommender found it on American Netflix and wrongly assumed it was on UK Ireland Netflix as well. Once it was established it wasn't rather than withdraw the recommendation we found another legit means to watch it.
    All OK?

    This too shall pass.

If you want a really good sci-fi film with very little action, I'd recommend Gattaca with Ethan Hawk. It has it's flaws but it's a proper sci-fi (felt very Arthur C Clarke to me) and the score is great.

I watch it about once a month. Probably one of my favourite movies of all times...and that score...

All Is Lost is a great film with Robert Redford as the sole participant with no dialogue. Who would have thunk it?! :)

Excited the for the second season of GLOW. Not a fan of American shows being an hour long. Makes it hard to get through them unless your really invested.

Watching Rillington Place at the moment. 3-parter from BBC, based on a true story with Samantha Morton and Tim Roth. A tough watch but very well made and well acted. If you like true crime dramas I would recommend.

Watched the first episode of "One Of Us" last night. A BBC production, four episodes long. A man kills a newly-wedded couple then travels to the remote Scottish Highlands where they were both from. It's interesting so far.
