A link to the Sun and an article quoting twitter. Thats impressive.

Probably wasting my time here but anybody who understands context knows exactly how Shaw can get MOTM in a game like that.
He was replaced on 83 minutes for Ashley Young, but impressed again for a Red Devils side that put in a flat performance with a narrow victory over the Cherries.
A player that fans are keen to see doing well came in and put in a solid performance in a flat, middle of the week game where we scraped a win against a midtable side. Maybe he was MOTM, but it really means very little.

    Fair enough.

I actually didn't see that Bournemouth game but did see the Moscow one.

Not sure if that's a public poll they're talking about which would explain a lot.

Sounds like I did miss his best performance since his leg break though.

If he got a run of 8-9-10 games he would have made a difference. Very hard for a player to come in and play a game here and there

So play the poorer of the two options in case he eventually maybe comes good. Seems solid plan.

Thats speculation though, who knows how he might have done. The boss clearly didnt see him in the same light

And the same people who bemoan him not Persisting with Shaw would then be calling for Jose to be sacked too if it didn't work and our results suffered as we tried to blood in the kids :/

Again I say, Jose just doesn't have the luxury of indulging underperforming kids in hopes they come good....

That run also came only 2 weeks after Youngs fully deserved MOTM performance against Watford. A bit harsh to leave him out in the cold at that stage of the season.

Saw a thing in the papers today, Memphis on his holidays with a big cigar and a glass of cognac. He's certainly embracing the French footballer lifestyle!

It reminded me of when we had Barthez, who Ferguson knew smoked. I think Ferguson even said in an interview after signing him how he knows Barthez loves a smoke but he would prefer him to be a smoker rather than an alcoholic.

I vaguely remember something else about Laurent Blanc too. Apparently the two lads would be smoking in the showers (discovered some people in mainland Europe are mad for that, found it bizarre).

Id a mate play for Forrest back in the day,
He played in the Riverside v Boro in a reserve game and walked in on Gaza having a smoke in the away team dressing room  :)

Wasn’t it Manchini who said he used to have to drag Balotelli out of the showers at half time as he would sneak in for a cig

Shaw is a 30m signing, former pfa team of the year player.

Ashley young hardly set the world alight playing left back this season.

Anyway, better off selling shaw as jose doesnt trust him

Saw a bit of paper talk today where Dembele apparently says he wouldn't join another English club if he does leave Spurs this Summer. Christ I'd love if we tested that, 30 or not he's arguably the best midfielder in the league.

That was a great game to watch, some pass to him and played the goal brilliantly

    Big Rom on BBC now.
Full interview on tomorrow. He had a tough childhood in poverty.

The last type of player the squad needs

Real have signed some highly rated kid keeper, and fans over on a Reddit seem to think he'll play back up to Navas this year, rather than splashing out on a big new keeper...

A certain group of fans are already wiping themselves down after his performance this evening. ;)

I've read a lot of Stoke fans happy to see the back of him, cause he's great for a wonder goal every four months, and then is uselesss for the rest of the time.

Liverpool were trying to sign him as well... interesting to see where alisson goes now. Id say pool may be favourites
