Megane resale value

Looking at the new model megane 162 onwards secondhand and they seem to be keeping their value really well. Compared to the equivalent Peugeot 308 the methane could be 4 or 5k more expensive.

In any case what are the new model megane like?

Perhaps you should look at the Renault Fl(at)u(l)ence instead?

p.s. Renaults depreciate the same as any other mass produced brand, and more quickly in some cases too.

The Fluence was replaced by the Megane Grand Coupe (even though it's a 4 dr saloon) in late 2016.

Over they are a decent car for what they are. The 1.6 diesel would be the pick of the bunch over the 1.5 diesel. Reliability these days would be on a par with most other similar brands and the Nissan Pulsar shared alot of DNA with the Megane. Only thing I don't like is the Tesla inspired Ipad infotainment screen that some of the higher spec models come with, looks like a tablet that was stuck on as an afterthought.

I have a 172 Grand Coupe. Signature Nav Spec. Automatic. Diesel.

Really happy with it. Has not missed a beat. A lot more refined than say my fathers Fluence, even when new. Interior plastics and leather is good and steering wheel feels very premium. Does about 950km on a full tank in stop start M50/M7 traffic 5 days a week running errands on the weekend. Spacious front and back. Its not everyone's cup of tea but I like the screen centre console. But it is a little distracting so I only use it when stopped. Mine came with Apple CarPlay which is dead handy.

Came with a service plan I just left it in this week and was serviced at no cost. Not even or consumables.

I agree with you on the touchscreens. I do not like them in any cars. Think they should go back to having proper physical controls for the radio and heating.
