Hello, I have been living here a year or so with my Irish wife under a stamp 4. I recently decided I wanted to further my education with a PLC course here so a applied and was accepted to the course. During my interview I was told there may be additional fees as I’m not a EU citizen, but I have had trouble getting in touch with their advisor for this and there’s is next to nothing online that I can find to help. So any and all information/advice is greatly appreciated!

    Some info:
    Wife is a Irish Citizen
I’ve been living here around a year
    I have a stamp 4

You must be ordinarily resident in Ireland or the EU for 3 of the last 5 years. If you were resident outside the State for this period but were resident in the EU, EEA or Switzerland you are deemed to be a tuition student which would normally make you eligible for the course fee portion of a grant. However, as you are applying for a PLC course of study (and SUSI does not supply funding for course fees on PLC courses, i.e. funding on PLC courses is provided for maintenance only) you will not qualify for any funding from SUSI.

Just search for SUSI website and you will find all your answers

International Students from Non-E.U. countries with the exception of applicants who have special leave to remain in Ireland, are obliged to pay a Department of Education fee of €3,653 plus the relevant course fees.

It is really expensive to study here as an International student.

The information on the course fees will have to be given to you by the college as it does depend on the course you are studying.

SUSI doesn’t pay anything towards plc courses even for Irish people

If you have medical card, knock €250 off student contribution.
They might get maintenance off SUSI not worth much but better than nothing.

Go on susi.ie, and onto "eligibility reckoner" but I do not think you are entitled to anything from SUSI based on the earlier info you have posted.

If you have a stamp 4 then yes you can do a PLC and just pay the charge as normal.
