Wouldn't be opposed but I think there'll be teams willing to give him first team football, rather than us giving him the same Arsenal we're offering.

    My guess is West Ham.

United need a cm who will actually improve the first 11,not another squad option and that's all Wilshere is fit for .

    Well said lord TeSCo
I think he goes go to a west ham/watford/burnley and help them build
could even go back to Bournemouth

    Hmm, I don't know.

I think Pogba, Matic and Fred are locked in as our starters next season.

As back ups, we have Herrera and McT. So I think we probably do need another CM of some sorta, and I can't imagine us signing a top level player, unless Jose wants to replace Matic this season.

I'd nearly rather we go after a younger CM option of sorts, someone highly rated and then let them build towards being a Matic replacement next season.

United have enough trouble keeping Jones and Bailly fit - keep that dope Wilshere away from the team.

I always think you need a replacement for every position plus one more utility player to cover each zone.

Playing three in midfield I think we need seven players to cover those positions to realistically challenge on more than one front.

United won't be signing Lengelet. He's Barca bound.

Only two arrivals (one not exactly starting player) and no departures is a bit dissapointing at this stage given the amount of deals we needed done both ways.

Love to follow the work that the Man Utd Foundation do around the communities, nice little video here about Shia, who is Autistic, but doesn’t let it hold him back, the lad is a real champion!

I wouldn't think so not many teams have done major business our selves and maybe Liverpool are ahead of the rest and one of their big signings was done last year.

Over the past few season's we have always got one or two deals done before July and the rest in July. Lots of things can factor into it like the beginning of new financial year and end of contract year.

I would take Wilshere with the knowledge that the outcome is binary; I genuinely believe that he’ll either be toast in a couple of years or that he’ll fulfill his potential and on the basis that he’s simply been unlucky with injuries.

Worth a punt for a club with our resources, but I take Lord TSC’s point that West Ham etc can offer more certainty.

To be honest I can see his desire to want to play more but surely at 26 if he is going to win anything he wants to move to a big club and have a desire to break into the starting 11.

What's the point in playing more at a club that's in bottom half or mid table ? It's ok if that's your level but Wilshire of he thinks he can stay fit is a top six player easily.

Seems reports of Kovacic wants out of Real Madrid for first team football and has a €50m release clause.

You'd still have the problem of who to drop of him, Pogba, Fred and Matic, but he'd be a sweet CM option to grab.

Poor Fred hasn't even kicked a ball for us yet and the potential of dropping him get's floated about :pac:

Didn't even see him make the bench for Brazil in the last match - abso useless. Waste of money.

    :pac: AH, I know.

Actually, there's a question; what role do people see Matic playing this season? At the moment, it feels nailed down he'd be a first teamer, but given his age, I wonder what's a realistic amount of time he'll be able to play.

    OH ****!

Really? I was utterly sure he was 32 or 33. Like, totally convinced.

Well......our midfield got a lot better very quickly in my head this morning :p

United need a 20 something go getter not a lad only fit for a couch and slippers

I do think Mourinho needs to use him less this coming season. I thought his performances dropped a significant amount, in general, around the half way mark of the season - because he was basically playing every minute.

Much like Lukaku, Mourinho needs to plan on resting him during the coming season - whether that is by going more 'attacking' and having a midfield 2 from Pogba/Fred/Herrera with Lingard in front, or bringing in McTominay for example, I don't know. But we need Jose to rotate our most important players out of the side more often - WTF was Ibrahimovic playing early round league cup and europa league the previous season, for example.

He never really rotates. Cant see him changing that this season

I do believe Mourinho is a fan of rotation, no team can compete on all fronts with out it. However I thinks its more a case of Jose not completely trusting others to fill in for key members. We really don't have anyone that does the job Matic does to near his level defensively....Pogba, McTominay, Herrera, Fellaini all for different reasons don't/can't. We seen his comments about when Lukaku was out about why he needs him. Similarly i think it's why Young and Valencia were mainstays in the team......he doesn't trust the replacements. I'd expect to see a centre forward in a mould similar to Lukaku signed for that reason. Should we decide to change style of play at times then Sanchez/Rashford/Martial would give different options up top.

Only 2 signings so far from the manager who likes to do his business early. Concern?
