I'd hate to see what the world transfer record will be in a decades time....

Or football could be on its knees with bankrupt clubs left, right, and centre when the public mood changes and the tv deals dry up.

Just watching the match now as I missed it earlier, Guerreiro at LB looks well decent.

Agreed, never seen him play before last night but was always pretty good in FIFA 18 :D

Thought Willem Carvalho was solid enough last night

Has Gurrier not played midfield for Dortmund?

Think Guirrero has played LB and LM, could be wrong though.

Giroud doppped was a suprise. So were the full backs. Dunno why Deschamps is already resting players tbh.

I'm sorry Bangkok, but this is why some posters have a hard time accepting some of what you post. He has had an extremely bang average start.

On a side note....the ref has ruined this game by being so soft on fouls in the first 10 mins!!

To be fair to Pogba. The entire French team have been awful and everything about them is too slow. There’s not much space for any of their creative players to get going.
Saying he’s playing well is a different story.

The France need to change there attitude towards the game. I think most of them assumed they just come out here and blow Australia away!

No, it was never that simple. Blaming a manager for the chronic under performance of a top quality player is a weak cop out. The problem is his temperament and application IMO.

His confidence seems to be very fragile. He seems to need a team setup completely to complement his talent. He’s bang average at best if he’s not at the races or playing in his supposed prefeeed position. He doesn’t give the appearance like he can “put in a shift” if his performance isn’t good. There are not many top quality midfielders who you would say the same about.

The irony is that I still want him to succeed. He’s a Berbatov in that he can be a delightful player to watch but he’s allergic to grinding out performances and working his way into a game.

No surprise to see Pogba being utterly useless right now against Australia. Meanwhile, Ronaldo was magnificent again last night, he's a one man team for Portugal and maybe it's time to bring him home to his United family. Ever the perfectionist and the supreme professional, I believe Ronaldo could become the Tom Brady of football. It probably won't happen, but I'd bring Ronny home in a heartbeat. And you could be sure he wouldn't be the waste of space that Sanchez turned out to be.

The more I see of him more I think he's not what United need especially atm with the club trying to bring them selves back up. Maybe Pogba would work if we where on top but even then.

You just can't trust in him to perform.
