Finding Champions hilarious. Laugh out loud with some of the lines that caught me off guard.

Just don’t get the appeal of it
Found it boring and can’t commit to another 11 episodes

Stick with it. Maybe its not your thing but I was hooked and watched it all in 2 days. Found it fascinating.

Wow, just read up there when you said it.
I watched all six and wasn’t really into it. It had its funny moments and decent music, but not one likable character in it and the lead is especially horrible. If a season 2 does get made I think I’ll pass.

I'm not going to judge the actor especially before anything has been proven. I've never seen Gossip Girls. As Vince in White Gold he was fantastic. Hes meant to be a horrible ****. Anyone whos mid 40s now knows a prick like him in every job..

Whatever about his personal life he nailed it in White Gold.

If crime documentaries aren't your think then giving up now is good.
But if you liked Making a murderer, the jinx or Evil genius then I'd give it another go.

Definitely, here's some of the stuff that was left out of the staircase

    http://www.peterson-staircase.com/

The filmmaker Jean-Xavier de Lestrade seems the think the only reason Peterson was charged with murder was because he's bisexual and been prosecuted in a conservative state :D

Nothing at all to do with his wife obviously been bludgeoned to death and Peterson been the only other person in the house at the time :)

That's hardly a neutral website. Eg: No mention that
large parts of the evidence was fabricated. Even before Deaver was exposed, any intelligent person could see through his blood spatter experiments. But that's not what you get on a US jury.
Of course, the prosecution's incompetence, lying etc doesn't prove anyone was innocent either.

I saw The Staircase on YouTube years ago and remember really liking it, but couldn't really remember the details when me and my GF sat down to watch it on Netflix. Well! We've gotten through the first 4 episodes and it is utterly fantastic, even better than I remember it. IMO it's superior to Making a Murderer, it's just a no frills no nonsense this is the case and this is how it's unfolding documentary. I can't wait to binge the rest over the weekend.

Enjoy ! I have no doubt its edited to bits to suit the film makers agenda but whatever his guilt or not its a compelling piece of TV.

That’s my point, I didn't think he done a good job playing Vince
Take The Wolf of Wall Street for example, Leo did an excellent job at making the deplorable Jordan Belfort likable, charismatic and funny to the point where your kinda rooting for him, but here Vince was just a smarmy pr1ck, there was nothing likable about him, he had zero charisma and no redeeming qualities.

First episode of Breaking Bad is brilliantly put together. Middle aged man wearing a gas mask, tearing through a desert in camper van whilst only rocking a pair of y fronts.

I wouldn't go calling it a slow burner myself.

Absolutely. The first season is one of my favourites. I was hooked from those opening scenes.

    Same as that.

Netflix had only sprung on these shores and the first Series I chose was BB not knowing a thing about it and when I caught up on it, I was waiting up half the night watching dodgy streams.

The only TV show I have done that with.

    10/10

Watching season 2 of The Expanse

It is one of the best tv shows out there at the moment. Glad it got renewed.

Not too sure what will happen to season 3, will Netflix get it for a while before Amazon take full control of it.

The Staircase...gripping true event story...must watch

Can anyone tell me definitively cause I've been given a few different answers.

Is Netflix's the Staircase a remaster of the original series with a few additional scenes or is it a sequel series?

In other words should you watch the original series first or is the Netflix series the definitive version?

I've not watched it yet and I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but as far as I know the first ten episodes are the original series and the last 3 are new ones added by Netflix.

Last I heard they halted production on season 2 due to allegations against Ed Westwick of sexual assault..

.. haven't resumed since, so I'm going to say don't count on it..

The first 8 episodes are from 2004.
9 and 10 are additional episodes from 2013.
    And 11-13 are from 2018.

So they represent the trial, the appeal and going back to court. Personally I felt like the last 3 episodes (2018) were very weak. They simply wasn't enough content, and they dragged it out. I'm guessing they committed to 3 episodes with Netflix with the expectation of a second full trial.

    Enemigo Intimo:
Best series ever! Just finished all 53 episodes. Totally addictive. Masterful exploration of a diverse range of personalities. Great acting. Great drama.

    Thanks for the tip.

Just wondering if someone who has watched it could explain the ending, regarding Tilapia and who he was affiliated with. It was ambiguous at the end.
I guess send a PM so as not to spoil it for others.
It will be hard to wait a whole year for the next season.

    Wormwood - 9/10

What a remarkable story and obviously the tip of the iceberg of what went on. So much more than a true crime documentary \ docudrama. Very high end production values. Had to deduct a point as it is a little overlong and repetitive although some might argue this is to reflect the sons long wait for the whole truth, going over and over the events around his fathers death.

Thought it was ok, it was as if Jay and Simon left school and travelled back in time to work. The main character was too much of a knob, although that may have been the point.
