I've just bought a 5 year old Peugeot 5008 and realised I've been driving around with the left auto/day light bulb blown. However, there's no warning light coming up on my dash to tell me there's a light gone. Can't find anything in the manual, so just want to check that there should be a warning light before I go to the dealer about it? I'm worried there could be an electric problem.

Then French yokes god dam electrics are grap. I’ve seen plenty of cars with bulb failure warning systems not throw up the warning light wouldn’t reall be to worried just replace the bulb and away u go

Thanks Bmw123d. Yeah I've been driving Skodas the last 10 years and found them very reliable but wanted a 7 seater with 3 back seats so had to make the change to Peugeot. Will have to get the bulb sorted today.

It's more I'm concerned that I'm not getting the warning light, so could be driving with any bulb blown and not know about it.

In my 2010 5008 there are no warning lights for bulbs. The only place that will tell you one is blown is on the radio unit, hit menu, trip, error log...or something like that!

What is going to upset you more is the cost of the replacement...they are in a stupid bolted in plastic holder and a pain to replace!

PS, get the oil changed in the 5008 (if it is the 1.6hdi version) every 8000 miles with the proper oil (Total Ineo ECS 5/30). DONT delay on it, they are very sensitive and you will damage the turbo if you delay the oil service!
