Big Phil getting all emotional before the World Cup
"Sometimes my family and friends may take it for granted because I’ve been playing professional football for eight years and playing for Manchester United, but I never have and never will. I have to pinch myself at times."
    - Phil Jones

And yes. Insert the "I have to pinch myself at times at the fact you're still with United" jokes. Leave him alone.

Dear Antoine Griezmann, please just fook off. Your bollixing around about where you might play next season is gone beyond tiresome at this stage.

    Haha it's quite gas altogether!
Calls a press-conference, Media go wild. Then says
"Sorry but today is not the day. I know there's a lot of expectation, but today is not the day [to speak about my future],I have already made my decision but it is not the time to announce it"

Best put any possibility out of mind. I expect him to come out after all this announcing he is staying at Atletico.

Care to indicate just how you ended up in a position with Michael Smalling at dinner?

edit - didn’t see mod note

He didn't call a press conference. It was a scheduled national team PC. He simply declined to answer a question from a journalist on his future. Can hardly give him grief for that.

In fairness he was always slotted in to face the media today even before all this came out, it was the players press conference, he didn’t call it. The media jumped on it when Deschamps said he must resolve his future before the WC starts

Well apologies if that's the case. CANAL and SI had said he had (or rather his representation) organised the a press conference while he was on duty with France, rather than it being a scheduled team PC.

If they were mistaken fair enough.

I've lost all interest in Greizmann. He wouldn't fit in with Pogba and the circus every year is just boring.

Think we will pick up a player from the fallout of sporting Lisbon and what is the future for them?, it looks grim

I'd choke on it if we signed dost I don't like him at all despite his goals in Portugal.

I really don't see us singing a backup for lukaku I reckon it will be a right winger and martial to leave.

    Expanding on Sandro, Castle says...

United's current stance on Alex Sandro places pressure on Juventus to moderate their transfer demands, or to turn chief executive's Beppe Marotta's recent public noises about a contract extension into reality.

At Massimiliano Allegri's request, Juve are in the midst of an aggressive overhaul of their first-team squad and see the Brazilian as a source of funds for that manager-instigated rebuild.

Also says Levy wants 75m for Toby and United are moving on, as he isn't our top target, especially at that price.

Do Juve no longer want Darmian then?

Are we just gunna have to wait for his contract to run out?

That does leave me wondering, who the hell is our top target for CB.. possibly Varane?

Interesting seeing the reaction of Real Madrid fans to Lopetegui's appointment specifically with Bale in mind. A lot seem to think thats the final nail in Bale's ccoffin and that Isco will 100% be a starter instead of him now. Good news for us, hopefully.

Awful lot of ifs and maybes and things up in the air about the rest of our transfer window atm which makes for an uneasy feeling for next season.

Anything could happen before August at this point.
