Agreed, solid cb and a leader at the back. Would have been Ideal at united

We'll see how he takes the pressure of being at a club now expecting to be challenging for things. Big difference doing it at Southampton who were a very well drilled defensive team than at Liverpool for a full season where, well it's not quite so.

They haven't bought anyone to play beside him so it's Lovren at moment and with either a young RB or one coming back from a long term injury there will still be a lot of frailties there.

Who the hell is Ciaran Kelly, now i push myself to be on top of the who’s who of transfer Journos, but I’ve never for the life of me heard of him. Sounds like he is trying to be ITK to try get up followers.

His wording of the tweets even leave it open for if they do sign “oh I never said they were definitely not in for them, just that they weren’t priority when I tweeted that”

Nice video of Philip Max's assists last season. Love the fact two of them are still technically assists, especially goal number two in the video

    Ciaran Kelly,MEN:

"Also believe Alex Sandro is no longer a target this summer and Mourinho thinks Shaw/Young are 'OK' options going forward #mufc https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/man-utd-transfer-alex-sandro-14768641

You'd think Mourinho would f****n play Shaw if he has faith in him. I'm calling bs on this

Looks like Gelson has terminated his contract at Sporting and Bas Dost is following suit.

Hhhink both would be good pick ups for us tbh. Dost would fit the "big man, back up striker" Jose seems to be hunting for.

Both are worth a punt especially Gelson.

Be amazing to get them done! Be amazing additions for nothing and we can focus tryna get a CB.

The MEN twitter tweeted same as that Ciaran Kelly but instead added at the end "are interested in signing a left back"

BILD stating our interest in Max now aswell

Supposed to be off to Arsenal, they had 2 Bids rejected apparently and that’s what made him withdraw from contract in the end

Can Sporting contest the cancellations imagine it would all get messy?

They send a letter to the club and League, the league has to decide on it in a case to case matter, I’m sure the club can put their side to it also

Well no bids needed now so we just need a better contract offer.

Two excellent goals too, the first he started the move from his own half and got into the box onto the end of a peach of a cross and the second was a great header.

If you’re lucky no one will notice this post and you’ll never receive any kind of stick from anyone about it.

Has a nice delivery of ball......wonder what he is like defending?....for four or five of those assists there was no defender near him trying to block down his cross.

That was Lukaku's 36th goal for Belgium now making him the highest scorer in history for them :)

Nah he broke it a few days ago again I think (record was 30 I think so 31 would break it iirc).

He also broke it in November but Fifa expunged a previous Hat-Trick against Luxembourg because Belgium made too many subs in the game so he had to rebreak it!

At least this one will be put to bed tomorrow

I’d also say he won’t stay with Atleti anyways as they are about to buy Lemar for a hefty sum.

Dunno why but I'm convinced Griezmann will stay

With Simeone staying it could well happen, but can’t see Atleti spending that on Lemar without money coming in. Unless they are going to sell of Someone like Saul or Koke

I'd be gutted to see him go to Barca, genuinely thought we had him last year.. As much as I rate him I don't think he'd suit our current style of play
