    So a friend of mine has recently started a new job on a casual basis and is in receipt of casual jobseekers.

    He is usually paid his jobseekers into the bank on a Tuesday but today nothing arrived at all even though he only worked one day in each of the two weeks.

    Someone has told him that he will be paid a day late due to the bank holiday this week he has tried to call his local office (he's working today) but nobody is picking up.

    Can anyone shed any light on this as he is starting to panic because his rent is due today?
