win2k defrag programme

win2k + sp4 norton speed disk wont let me defrag., giving me an error message saying that im not a valid os (i dont think it can handle sp4) any other defragging options out there for w2k? cheers in advance. dw

If it has bother with a large file try

http://www.sysinternals.com/ntw2k/freeware/contig.shtml

It is useless for the pagefile so use

http://www.sysinternals.com/ntw2k/freeware/pagedefrag.shtml

Instead. HTH

Have a look at

They offer you a trial of their corporate product for 30 days, it's a bit expensive, but free for a one off.

Cool about the page file defragger Muck,
I think if you turn off virtual memory before defraggin and turn it on again it can help, but not as good as the sysinternals product prob.
