I'd say the days of massive overall majorities are over for not just FF but FG(I don't think FG have ever had a majority on their own)

I meant to get back as the largest party so as to actually lead a government. They need the floating voters.
    Ah yes that's probably right.

No, this is the last televised debate of the campaign. The moritorium comes into place at 2pm tomorrow.

I wasn't aware there was a debate on tonight. Which channel was airing it?

Can't trust a word Mary lou or Martin say.

    No, you don't want to.

Do you trust Lowe and Ganley?

    They have been very poor.

Martin is such a ****. He is a pro lifer.

Why did he change his stance?

I think it's going to be a close no victory.

He said he is pro life but can't vote to force women with FFA rape victims etc to carry through with a full pregnancy.

You can be pro life and pro choice.

As i've stated before, i believe it is absolutely horrible to pit an entire gender against humanity itself. Do you not value that you were afforded a safe passage into this life? I am immensely grateful that i was afforded that passage and that i was nurtured and cared for so that i enjoy the freedoms i enjoy today and the liberation to smile (and suffer!) and feel the entire spectrum of human emotions and human being. I was ALLOWED all of this. You were allowed all of this too. Every single person reading and participating in this thread was allowed this... Now some people may argue that this is not very important, that it is simply 'consequential', but i believe in consequence, i believe in what in we know. I believe in the sanctity of life. I don't subscribe to fatalism. I hope. I don't use fear as a horrible weapon. I live. It is fúcking beautiful. All of us are fúcking beautiful. Anyone who is reading this, YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL. Let your individuality shine. There is no one like you. You are absolutely unique. Live, and, let, live

8 billion unique and wonderful souls

but seriously if everyone is so awesome why shohldnt they be let vote how they want without you hectoring to change their minds

heres hoping for 60%+ beautiful fúcking yes voters on friday

Mary Lou popularity will be at its highest after this.

And I'm not been fan of her or her party, but she just winnng this.

Behaviour and Attitudes poll just published has them the second largest party passing Fianna Fail. FG down 3 points too.

Unreal. And she's a barrister?!

She might lose a few clients.

Wouldn't like to have her on my side if I was in the dock.

It's a laugh. If Sauron came out as a Yes voter they'd be saying how they always had a grudging respect for him...

I can't see it happening. It will be a yes win, the question is the margin.

It would be a bigger electoral upset than Brexit if it happens, given the polls. The seeming discord and crisis that has overcome the No campaign in the last two days indicates to me that private polling is showing them that Yes will prevail.

I think the youth vote will sway it for Yes if they come out and vote. I also think it will be closer than people think.

Anybody speaking in favour of yes just come across as more mature, compassionate, understanding and fair than any No campaigner I've seen.

Fairness and compassion, two intrinsically weak and negative values. I don’t care what people think because I know what’s wrong and what’s right, I have my beliefs and I have travelled the world and I know what is right and what is wrong and we are headed down a very dangerous path which will lead our society into disaster very soon.

Coral and Ladbrokes still taking bets, currently 1/7 Yes and 4/1 No. Thats good value on a No vote, threw down a tenner on No earlier.

A losing bet is never good value.

Yes voter by the way but being rural based many fairly reasonable people I know are voting No. This has me slightly spooked and I just can;t see the gap being the 15%+ some polls indicate. I'd be surprised if theres more than 5% in it come Saturday

I think it will be 55-45 at best for no and probably closer to 60-40 for a yes vote.

These referendums are always though hard to predict and abortion is such an emotive issue a lot of people may have a different view on things when in the ballot box.

This rape case seems to be asked to all of the NO campaign.

Ganley talking about how our society supposedly covers up for rapists, while he's an ultra catholic and his church are the experts on covering up and shielding rapists!

Seriously that's only because you're a yes voter. No voters will and do think the complete opposite.

It is going to be 3% to 4% either way.

Any politician really. Abortion is hip, people want, people who vote, they need them votes even if they don't agree with abortion.
We vote in the politicians. That is how democracy works.

Politicians could legalise drink driving but they won't because (well most won't anyway)

Hopefully he'll never be elected to the failed TDs club the Seanad has turned out to be. If we voted for the representatives to be able to be put forward for the Seanad, he wouldn't get near the place. He's toxic

If you mean Mullen, NUI graduates actually elected him. I reckon most of them graduates of theology from Maynooth...

You'd think Theresa Lowe would have a bit more of insight after doing stuff like this :

DURING Mental Health Awareness Week (October 6-10), Ireland’s first digital pop-up radio station, Upbeat On Air, will broadcast live from St Patrick’s University Hospital, in Dublin, from 7am to 10pm. The aim is to encourage people to seek professional advice for mental health issues as early as possible.

The presenters will include Alan Shortt, Theresa Lowe

Declan Ganley, the man who abhorred Lisbon II and Nice II now looking ahead with great confidence to The 8th II (or is it III ?!)

    What a bell-end.

They could not answer the question with simple Yes or No.

    That's why Yes will win.

The secret No voter will surge to victory like Trump and Brexit, the gutter tactics of the abortionists have swayed moderates to vote No or abstain. Most political scientists I know are predicting a No victory.

;););) That all you got? That I am a 'feminist' because I vote to give people choice?

Is a wee anti woman mask slipping there DOS?

It's quite curious how you can 'reconcile' all the facets of your personality. Not too fond of women when they effect your rugby team. But now a lover of their 'freedoms'.

You're quite a ticket Mr. Brady ;) I think we both know the score. It's not your love of the fairer sex but anti clericalism is your main priority.
