Hi,I recently bought a security camera and in trying to connect it to my WiFi on my phone and tablet it won't allow me to click connect as the password I was given with the camera has only 3 digits and my WiFi requires an 8 digit password for this........ I am just wondering is there something I can change in settings maybe that could allow a 3 digit password or am i fecked?

    Samsung s7 phone
    Samsung galaxy tablet

    Thanks,Ger

    Moved from Open Source.

There's no wireless encryption standard that will accept a 3-digit password. Even WEP needed more than that, and WEP was pants.

Think you have the process confused. The 3 Digit pass will just be a setup ID or something. You connect to the camera normally, give it the password, then it connects to your infrastructure.

Post the model or read the manual.
