Hmmm. From a physiological profiling point of view, and not wanting to cause you any upset, I would hazard a guess that you may be harbouring some deep set issues stemming from a traumatic childhood?
This is a hilarious cod shrink effort when you don't even know the difference between psychology and physiology.

Just checked there, and it doesn't look like i'm registered. God damn it :(

My own fault...hopefully Yes wins comfortably and it won't make any difference.

I think 125,000 people registered. So, this will really help Yes!

Hard luck, it should be automatic really if they had e.g. a mandatory national ID card.

I am and it's very stable thank you. And I never mentioned whether or not I abstain, am trying for a child m I said if someone wants to not fall pregnant they should not engage in intercourse

It's the equivalent of saying if you don't want to burn your hand, don't put it in the fire...use the tongs for coal instead

Perhaps it's the biological urges you need to deal with better...not use the termination of a pregnancy as a fix it for a mistake that never needed to happen to begin with

    Do you see the difference?

It’s really not the same thing as using tongs for a fire. That’s just plain silly. I’m sure you are more intelligent than thatband I’m not going to indulge this nonsense any more.

I may be wrong of course, and this is hardly the forum for such a discussion, but some of your comments and ideas moulded under the umbrella of this referendum are very strange indeed. You seem to be simmering under the surface with so much hurt and pain. Sometimes forums such as these can cause so much more harm than good. As a survivor of a traumatic childhood myself, I hope you eventually find happiness. Pick your battles in life and be kind to yourself.

Interesting...I didn't realize you could diagnose physiological issues over the internet..... Nor did I realize that text was such s means. In any case I do hope you misspelled psychological... otherwise I'd be worried

In terms of psychological health I'm doing ok thanks.. childhood was fine thanks for the strange inquiry though

...I m just quite practical and tend not to buy into this act first ask questions later retrospective ideology thst permeates the modern mindset

Might be worth calling your council office just to make sure!

I don’t actually. I deal with my biological urges just fine. And I have never, nor would I ever use a termination as a way to “fix” a mistake.

I'm assuming i would have gotten my voting card by now, if i got in on the supplementary registrar, right?

I was away and sent my application in late, so i think i may have missed it

I delivered my form by hand and chatted with the woman in the office. I think I was told that I wouldn’t get a card but that I should bring ID and I would be on the supplemental register. I was also told that I would not be on the online list and not to panic. So you may still be registered don’t worry-just go along anyway with ID.

The online register isn’t always up to date. Contact your council and they can tell you if you are on the supplementary register

How many other parts of the Irish constitution and legislation do you likewise refuse to voice any opinion on?

Im a fully qualified lawyer (albeit non practising). So yeah I do think I can comment on legislation. I also just said your interpretation is an opinion (as in not substantiated fact).

The video I am aware of is Declan Ganley(I think). Now you can call that assault if you want.
Whats's the deal with the one saying she was run off the road by a LoveBoth Audi is there a video or just her word?

    Wasn't it his brother?

And it wasn't assault, it was gross misunderstanding of the physics involved in carrying a ladder aka the lever effect :

I saw a picture, not sure if there’s a video. Tbh I’d take stuff like that from either side with a pinch of salt, nobody is Above orchestrating stunts like that.

Obviously it's not whatever you're fantasizing about as the video I'm referring to showed an assault on a guy putting up a no poster, now being investigated by Gardai.

Without a video of something happening I wouldn't take any notice of it.

Hi Susie, thank you for the reply.
There is of course another scenario. My wife was adopted back in the 80's, and most likely would have been aborted if it was available. That would have deprived me of her and our current family.

Now, of course, this isn't a typical case. But I hope explains the battle I have on the issue, as I fully understand and respect the points that you raise (which have also been on my mind).

With all due respect, that’s a rabbit hole that’s not worth going down.
Her birth mother didn’t have an abortion (even though she could have travelled to the UK) and your wife was born and is here.
By the same logic, her mother could have had a miscarriage, or she could have died as a child, but she didn’t, and she’s here.

Did you ever wonder how many kids you’d have if you and your wife never used contraception? Do you miss those kids you never had?
Do you feel deprived of the family you could have had, with 10 or 11 little kids in the house?

I don’t mean any of this in a nasty way, I just don’t know how else to make my point. We can’t miss what never was.

It’s clear you love your wife very much - would you be happy for her to be refused treatment if she fell pregnant while she had cancer?
And I’m not saying if that were the case, abortion is the only option - but would you not like the choice?
Would you not like other people’s wives to have a choice?

I can see why it’s a complex moral issue for people, especially in your case. But we need to focus on the here and now.
