Would you please tell me how to close a landline phone account using an Enduring Power of Attorney.
I have been given contradictory information on 1901 and I have not received a reply to an email I sent on 2nd May.

    Hi EirClosure ,

I'm very sorry to hear about the issues you've been having and I apologise for any inconvenience caused.

In order to cancel an account, you will need to contact our support team on 1901 to give cancellation notice.

    Thanks

    Thomas

I contacted 1901 in April and was asked to send an email with account details and a copy of the Enduring Power of Attorney. This email was sent on 2nd May and I have not received a reply yet. I rang again on 16th May to ask was there a problem with it. At this stage I was told I would need to have the account holder with me to authorise account closure and send in a medical report. The Enduring Power of Attorney indicates that the account holder is no longer able to do this.
