I have a Samsung Tv with media player built in- but it wil only browse usb drives inserted in its usb slots. There is Ethernet but you cannot map to a network share.

I’d like to make a USB device that would appear as a usb drive to the tv... but instead of it reading from local flash - it would read from a network share. This would allow my tv browse my file server as if it was usb stick.

I’ve searched and haven’t found anyone doing anything like this - what would be involved - planning on using a rpi 2 as this sounds like it should be possible....

    Any pointers anyone please? Thanks...
