Exactly. No-one is suggesting the murder of new-born babies. They are suggesting their murder some months before that. Vital medical treatment is never denied to anyone, pregnant women included. It suits the argument to say that it is but it any necessary treatment is given to the mother, even when it puts the unborn baby's life at risk.

If a foetus is not a baby, there is no need to abort it. Let the foetus develop and see if it becomes anything other than a baby. Choice is wonderful! But the time for choice is not when a baby has already been made. It is before intercourse takes place and the baby is conceived. If someone doesn't want a baby, let them not create it.

If you honestly believe this then how do you manage to tie your own shoes in the morning?

If you are posting just for a reaction then what happened to you to make you this way?

The donation page on the save 8th website has exactly the same thing..........

To be fair, being "just" as good as the save isn't a good enough standard, really.

I really should stop feeding the trolls.

But again; try harder. That argument has also been debunked many times in this thread.

See if you can come up with something original.
Or is you goal to keep telling lies until they become the truth?

    That is demonstrably untrue.

I agree, but just pointing it out.

Is every case a hard case?

Question for "Yes" voters; if you feel that it is ok to take a child's life in the womb, would you be happy to take it's life as soon as it is born, instead? It would be the same baby but there would be no doubt about what was happening.

Ah that utterly ridiculous old slippery slope argument.

And how many countries with abortions have infant euthanasia on demand?

You cannot murder that which has not been born.
Michelle Harte's next-of-kin and obstetrician say differently. Michelle can't say anything as she is dead. Dead due to the fact that she wasn't allowed a termination so she could participate in a cancer treatment trial. A trial that was her only chance. To put it in your hyperbolic language she was murdered by an ethics committee that decided she could not have a termination.

I actually wonder that too. How many hard cases do you need before it becomes a good idea?

Shoutout to all those not already aware of how to avoid an unwanted pregnancy. Sometimes it is simply by abstention from sexual intercourse. That should do it. Otherwise, if couples want to avoid conception in order to plan or limit their family, it is called natural family planning, which is 100% reliable if properly used. Consider yourself informed!

    OK. Definitely Orwellian.

Bravo on your modern interpretation of 1984, but this thread is for discussing the abortion referendum, not for recreating minitrue.

    Death.

Doesn't apply here the bad law was made in 1983.

10 women a day travelling to acquire the service elsewhere (doesnt include does availing illegally here) that not enough for you?

With the greatest respect to this lady's bereaved, you say she was "wasn't allowed a termination so she could participate in a cancer treatment trial". A termination is not medical treatment. As for, "You cannot murder that which has not been born.", try telling that to the mother of a stillborn baby.
