Decent contestants tonight. Glad to see them get decent cash, but the last fella definitely got tougher questions

That guy deserved that for making a wild guess with 2 lifelines left. He got lucky with the previous ones when he did the same.

Ah no... I knew it was spider. Think it was a question on The Chase that I remember it from

not really, hard luck would have been him totally convinced he knew the answer and then hearing it was wrong -THEN I would have felt sorry for him.

He ruled out spider right away. AFAIK the naming of animals/organisms does not got through any voting process for the most suitable, most smart, or most witty. And random fan of any old tosser who discovers something can name it after them.

previous ones seemed quite rational & thought out choices. Last as you said was a wild guess, stupidly wild.

The only two options that could have had any connection to Bowie were Spider or Starfish, so the question was practically begging him to use the 50/50. Of course, if it had left him with A and B, he'd probably have gone A anyway, but Starman to Starfish seemed a bit of a leap.

ITV will probably leave it a few months before announcing the next series.

Apart from the prize money, overall that was the best episode.

Was it me or were the questions much easier tonight?

I smelt a fix too, what a coincidence that yer man crashed near the location of the big question!!

Suppose they had to make it easier due to the shocking standard all week :D

Thought it was a very easy question my self. Seen a doc about myths and people who follow them and was one on Loch Ness and a knew there from that there was ruins of a castle from that right beside the lake.

Or you serious about a fix tho,I didn't find that at all.

It would be an easy thing for the producers to fix. Maybe the contestant wasn’t and never will be aware of it. It just seems like far too much of a coincidence to me.

Yea I get what your saying.I don't think the producers had to tho ,it's an well established franchise.Im not sure of the viewing numbers but I had friends from Canada watching.

Not that easy. I am Scottish, knew the name of the castle and the LOCHS (dont have lakes in Scotland btw) and had to think about the castles that were on some old Scottish banknotes as I was not 100% sure.

As I was saying to my OH however is what may seem easy to us, will have someone that is under 30 stumped.

I think the questions are aimed at the generation that Google's a fact rather than us that read about a subject.

Suppose it's easy when you know the answer. The Loch Ness prob looked to known or to easy of an answer and if didn't know would have ruled that answer out first.
Your right tho not an easy question by any stretch and I only knew there was a ruin castle on lock Ness there could have been easy other ruin castle on the other Lochs.

Lochs are lakes. The English for loch is lake.

There's always higher up questions that can appear 'easy' but that's just the nature of it. They're only easy if you know them and all that. Obviously some will end up with easier questions than others, it's the luck of the draw

Of all the quiz shows there's zero reason to fix WWTBAM. It's a bigger draw when people aren't winning big regularly
