I believe “The Staircase” is going to be shown during the summer.Fans of “Making A Murder” are in for a treat as it one of the best crime docs you will ever see.

That must be 15 years old at this stage. Worth watching, I'd have thought it had been shown before this.

Started River last night and it looks to have potential.

Yeah it’s close on 15 years,2004 was when it was released,I personally thought it was better than MAM,while Staircase lacks the high end production values of MAM,I thought the way it was put together made the story more compelling and of course the accused ,Michael Petersen ,had an “interesting” background,so to speak.....

Yeah it's really good,I must actually look into it again. Wonder what happened since.

I still think The Jinx was one of the best of those docs. was

The BBC one with Stellan Skarsgard? Thought that was a highpoint of BBC's output over the past few years, along with Happy Valley.

Yeah that's the one, I started it after recommendations after I watched Unforgotten.

As another poster said, there was definilty some sort of movement 're The Staircase. Can't remember what, but will definitely watch to find out. Original documentary was fantastic.

I remember BBC3 last year showed a follow up "Beyond The Staircase" which outlined the aftermath of the case and caught with various family members, dont know if that will be shown on Netflix either...

Any chance the other two Staircase documentaries might be added to Netflix before this new one because I'm having a hard time finding them

Watched the first episode last night and found it to be very good, a small bit gorey in parts.

The Alienist trailer looks good and a decent cast too, might start it over the weekend.

Started Santa Clarita diet season 2 last night and it's very enjoyable so far.

It's really good fun, all characters from the main 4 to the side ones are great. I love Timothy Olyphant in it.

Ha a film can be better than its description though.
On mark kermode last week they had a review of a film called a gentle creature.
A woman lives alone on the outskirts of a village in Russia. One day she receives a parcel she sent to her incarcerated husband, marked ‘return to sender’. Shocked and confused, the woman has no choice but to travel to the prison in a remote region of the country in search of an explanation.
So literally a 2 hour 20 minute film about a woman delivering a parcel...but hey it is meant to be fantastic :)

Some decent actors in the trailer there, unnerving seeing Michael C Hall with an English accent.

    Looks great to be honest.

I don’t need to see the film now after watching that trailer.

It looks fairly cliche to me. What odds can I get on the roll of film containing old photos of his son?

Found The Staircase. Hmm, not really sure what a new documentary could offer since most of the facts and theories are already out there.

Fwiw I don't see how he's innocent unless Kathleen was doing some sort of bizarre aerobics on the stairs!
