Very windy all day long here in Waterford City. Max gust of 60km/h at my station but feels stronger than the stats. 13.1mm of rain recorded.

Blustery but nothing exceptional here near Tralee gusting around 60 km/h. Winds have been a bit under what was showing in the models so far I think.

    Malin gust 94 kn/h
    Sherkin 86km/h
Valentia got up to 76km/h a couple of times
    Casement 76km/h

Can physically see the water pouring out of my front garden onto the road now. That is a first. Very windy here still too. All day at this point

Got 25mm from RTÉ Weather Six One. See Villain's tweet here as proof showing it:

Ah no wasn't asking for proof, was just interested if it was possible to see how much had fallen in the city! :) Might need to invest in a station.

Could I ask where these measurements are found? Looking at ME's site I can't seem to find them. Thanks!

    25mm was up til 6pm

There was 4mm at 7pm and 8pm...there's been another 7 or 8 since so we are over 40mm now

Data from met eireann hourly reports

Yes but remember all ogimets don't always match met eireann s but usually close enough

The 6pm total of 30mm includes some of yesterday's rain from 6pm to midnight

Gone very windy with heavy rain here in south Carlow in the last 10 minutes.

Still averaging 4mm per hr in Valentia

    So prob 45mm there now

    They will break 50mm

Many places like Cork and Roches Pt will see 30mm and parts of West.

Tis coming down here in West Clare. There's no drought anyway! Current rate of 14mm/h, with a regular rate if about 4-7mm/h past few hours.

17.4mm of rain since event started.

One or two gusts are starting to make my house Creek here in Cork City, they have gotten stronger that's for sure. The rain is still coming down heavily for the last few hours now.

Very windy now up along the west coast. Belmullet gusting 55 knots on the 11am met reports.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,679 ✭✭✭pauldry

    Yes very windy today

    Like Autumn.

Still haven't really had Spring yet.

Only two weeks till Summer (according to some people)

And there's a possibility of wintry showers then
