Amazon echo in argos

    Just seen Argos have amazon echo dots in shop for a reduced price of 45 euro

    They're 50 sterling on amazon.co.uk not inc delivery, up from 35 sterling last november.

    They have the other echos as well but the dot is only one on sale.

    Amazon are selling Second Gen with Model Number B01DFKC2SO
    Argos are selling a different Model Number B01DFKBL68

    Likely why it's cheaper.

    Ive 3 dots already, love them. From that review, the only real thing that I think would make a difference is the echo spatial recognition, they all work perfectly fine otherwise.

    Checked the model # b01dfkbg5y - Amazon Echo Dot Multimedia Speaker - White 622/8439 and it's listed as 2nd Gen

    Good price at €45. Argos UK & Amazon both have it listed at £50.

    Basically 2nd gen has 4 buttons on top, vs 2 for 1st gen.


    I reckon go for 2nd gen if you can as accurate voice recognition is key.

    Going by that and the picture used on argos it looks like its the second gen

    Also googling the model number B01DFKBL68 amazon brings up second gen

    I got it from amazon for 35pd two weeks ago, anytime there is a sniff of a sale it’s usually first thing on offer.
