hi folks can someone please tell i bought a Cordless Phone set one is an answering machine , which one has to be connected to the Virgin modem does it Matter if i use the Answering machine base or the Phone on its own with its base ?

Connect the base station to the telephone socket on the modem?

The answering machine needs to be connected to the modem. Normally, there won't be a phone socket on the other base station(s), they are only used for charging.
