Terrible decision, was always going to happen with Colm Hayes as the programme director, he was going to get back on the air and have his pals work with him.  I actually liked Conor and Marty in the mornings and was sad to see them go.  Its another version of FM104 / 98FM at this stage.  Won't be tuning in anymore.

Like a pain in the head compared to a migrane...i see what yer sayin...

    Evanescence on Liam's show....brilliant..

Are they letting Greg play what he wants , within the nova policy "nothing heavy" or to "metal".... ??

Now that you mention it Max, you know who I have never in my life heard on Nova? Rage Against the Machine.

Wouldn't be surprised if Eoghan McDermott got a show on Nova at some point, having done XFM he wouldn't be much of a stranger to guitar-music stations.

Well that's me gone. If anyone know of a good alternative let me know, otherwise it'll be back to Spotify or Google Music.

Sadly, it was only a matter of time. I suspect a complete re-branding of the station is coming next.

    I'm delighted.

Mainly because of the reaction it's getting from the people on this thread, hilarious and deeply satisfying

That's gas, he comes across as being a complete stranger to guitar music, and I say that knowing he presents music shows in which guitars are played but my point still stands.

recently started a new job and have Nova on while driving to work. What happened to it?
It's all ad's and no music now, it's even playing the same ad's over and over every few minutes. Nova used to be the only decent station left?

On a positive note, the classic album at midnight is Iron Maiden's Number of the Beast.

Nice one! Only time you hear Maiden is on Fri Night Rock. Or middle of the night when the robot dj gets it right.

Very sorry to hear re breakfast.. LQ was just what’s needed. Good tunes, get the show on the road. These “ I’m so KRAAZZZY” djs are so passé. Really disappointed. I work long long hours, 15/16 hours a day. I really don’t need crazy Lucy and the other guy telling me how zany they are , or what silly ****e happened somewhere irrelevant. Bit sad.

It’s supposed to be the music with nova .
I think that’s what we all want on this thread.
Oh well ... off to the internet so....

Agreed, these past two weeks with Quigley at the helm have been refreshing, to say the least. Also, you're absolutely right, the 'crazy' double act routine which is so predominantly pervasive on morning radio is tiresome.

I have real problems with sleep and the last two weeks, LQs whole manner was perfect to wind down to.......even as so many more were waking up to him :D So, it'll be back to classical playlists instead of the promised wacky crap

I don't blame you at all. I think I'll tune in for the inaugural 'Pop Goes the Nova' with Colm & Lucy as my perverse sense of curiosity will no doubt get the better of me.

No surprises really. It's the form of radio as I mentioned before.
Thought Conor was excellent and a natural and wish him the best. Marty is a pro, and he'll keep on fighting the good fight. Sure he may overdo the bantz, but that's what the majority wanted.
This is likely to be a ratings coup for Nova.
It's been there for the past while anyway, but welcome to the mainstream...

Can't stand Pat "the cock" Courtney.
The sound effects need to stop.
