Tyrone and Gemma.. jaysis, can people in soaps not just call Halt at a snog? Say 'oops' and move on?? No, let's run upstairs and f*ck eachother in the marital bed instead. That never ends badly..

Wasn't the marital bed. Tyrone's conscience meant he led Gemma into Sean's room.

More jobs on the Street. Great how no one has to commute for work.

Hope the co-op becomes a bit of a Freshcos location.

That costa coffee must do well given there is already the pub, cafe, bistro and the fact everyone lives there as alternative places to get coffee.

Well Robert and Michelle go to Roys for coffee from the pot that has being stewing away for the day despite the fact that they have a fancy smancy coffee machine at the bistro. (Peter and Toyah do the same but they dont really seem to have koped that the own the Rovers (as Liz and Leanne run it) - and fair enough they may not have fancy coffee machine)

Half the residents still go to Roys for takeout coffee and tea (as well as big breakfasts) despite the fact that they are unemployed.

So new costa coffee badly needed!!! :-)

A takeaway coffee in the hand is kind of the modern smoking.

I take it that people have the complaints letters prepared in advance for the
    David Storyline.

The scenes with the two from South Africa and Mary are actual torture to listen to, and now we're back to the junkie vicar moaning and gasping around the place on his crutches.

I wish they’d finish up the Phelan storyline so I can stop watching! Every other storyline is torture

They're dreadful. This extremely tedious happy families play where they call Mary 'mum' at every possible turn and basically do nothing at all. They're adding nothing.

Coronation Street has confirmed a forthcoming steroid abuse storyline for Robert Preston.

Tristan Gemmill, who plays the Bistro owner in the ITV soap, has revealed that Robert will start using steroids as he trains for a charity boxing match and takes his exercise regime too far by turning to the performance-enhancing drugs.

It comes after the character's fight with testicular cancer, as soap bosses continue to shine a spotlight on male mental health struggles.

"It's an interesting storyline from a psychological point of view," Tristan told Radio Times.

"It's not outlandish to think that an alpha-male bloke like Robert who's recently had testicular cancer will feel pretty shaken by an episode like that.

"He's trying to seize the day and make the most of the reprieve he's been given, but he ends up overdoing the exercising. That's why he gets into these muddy waters."

He added: "It feels topical for Coronation Street to be covering an issue like this.

"Especially when we see everything that's going on in the wider world about what established male behaviour has been in the past and what it perhaps should be aspiring towards in the future.

"We're trying to hold a mirror up to what's gong on and I think the producers have timed it pretty well."

Not sure if I'll still be watching when that airs. I won't be missing much if I'm not. Bethany and diet pills. Then the vicar with pain pills escalating to heroin. Does Granada have their own dealer now?

I think he's a great actor, but either Billé will still be gurning, sweating and robbing when this happens, or will have, like many stories do now, abruptly ended. No need to continuously have a drug addiction story.

I want to know (eagerly waiting) on what big storylines Corrie have lined up for after phelan meets his maker - I hope it is none of this drivel thats on currently when phelan is not on screen .

I wonder if at any time any of these soaps would ever cover a terror attack, or foil a terror attack ... or is that too true to life?

I can see Phelan being found out soon enough and then leaving and returning for the big week during the Britain's got Talent semi finals.
I know in the past this period has got into bother there was the time one of the peacock kids got abducted but they had to change it all due to Madeline Mccane and another time there was a mass shooting and they had to cancel the episode because it contained a gun.
So, I think they'd stay well away from a terrorist attack.

Amazing how a kid like Summer is able to look at Pat fixing the damaged door and decide that the break in was an inside job. I actually don't care anymore if I miss an episode its farcical.

That summer kid has magical powers hasn't she... Shame she hasn't got magical powers in the way of acting though...

When she talks she sounds like she is just reciting her lines and she does it always in a low monotone voice. I hate being critical of child actors, but surely out of all the acting schools there in the UK they could have found a better child actor than the one they have playing summer at the moment?

I agree! Sounds tiresome:( I don't enjoy storylines involving drugs for some reason...especially when the character changes...I'm fed up of Billy's story at this stage never mind starting another one with
Robert. We've seen him with a brief gambling addiction, a health problem where he was taking out his worries on Michelle.
Now that we're on the subject, I don't much like either of their stories...the stalker one wasn't bad but I do like stories that are a little bit scary:)Now we're going to have to see him sweating and grunting and racing around the cobbles smacking little old ladies out of his way.. (as the gym is gone isn't it??)...they keep doing that! Having the fitness fanatics booting it up the cobbledy little street in a place so not suitable for running...Nick was forever stretching his calves on window ledges and racing up and down ...now whatsisface the up and coming rapist is at it...feck sake.

This scene by the homeless hostel is like they've gone back in time to Dickensian England.
