16 year old and bank account...recommendations

Hi folks, my 16 year old needs to open a personal bank account. Won't be much going in :D but any recommendations, I.e. less transaction charges, etc?? Thanks folks

Most banks do accounts for school and college students that don't charge any transaction fees.

The banks know that people change their partners more often than their bank, so they try to get them in early, e.g.:

Also if they are still in school the school will be able to sign a letter for them as proof of ID.
