Out getting supplies for snowmageddon at the moment - people (not me) are starting to panic buy here, lidl shelves were getting stripped of water, milk, ping pong balls, crochet sets and digital micrometers. Is this the end, my friend?

My local Centra had a limit of one pan per customer. Or, I guess, per group if you were in there with your family. Great idea and it meant I was able to get a loaf of bread at 5pm.

Looks like a snake to me.
You might have one of those very rare snow snakes in your garden. Bit like bats, you can't disturb them. So you'll have to barricade off your garden and never ever set foot in it again. I'd also wall over the windows, just to be on the safe side.
