It’s not ‘snowing heavily’ in Bray. I’m in Greystones. There’s a strong wind and tiny flecks of snow.
Nothing to get all excited about.

    You really are talking rubbish.

Here is where I live, taken about half an hour ago.

Plenty of snow on the ground. Photo does not show snow that is falling or wind.

Also not forecast to stop snowing until tomorrow night.

I refuse to believe you have hardly any snow in Greystones.

It's reflection from the snow. Why are you expecting it to be pitch black?

Just turned the lights off in the house because the Irish Army were shooting people for being out in the snow.
Look they said people would be shot on site after 4 clearly on RTE all day! They have no one to blame but themselves!

Also will their bodies count when measuring the snowfall?

Were a laughing stock. Just spoke to a friend in Calary and he's in stitches. A few inches (oh sorry its all CMs now) of snow and you'ld be forgiven for thinking the end was nigh.

This is what happens when you have a total Dublin-centric outlook. RTE, Joe Duffy, Met Éireann, Taoiseach, Conor Facnumb.
I wager none of them ever did an honest days work exposed to the elements in their mollycoddled lives.

There is no sun just clouds. It should be pitch black outside the back of the house but instead its like there is street lights on. Anyone else have this outside their house. It's not just tonight either it was like this the last two nights as well.

I have a theory but could be wrong. First I want to know has anyone else noticed it.

I'm intrigued by this theory of yours...

Probably some class of a fancy government nuclear weapons test seeing as we all have to stay indoors until middle of the day tomorrow.

Low lying clouds trapping the light from towns and cities.

Either that or it's the Russian invasion fleet covertly arriving behind their snow-clouds of stealth.

Never heard of so many people who have spoken to Canadians, Slovakians, Dutch and Germans today and also spoke to random tourists on the street who are all laughing at Ireland. Amazing.

The power just went out in Swords and I noticed this too... There are no street lights on... I just assumed it's the full moon... It can be very bright and some of that must be making it through the clouds?

The bastards have used the threat of bad weather to foist a police state on us.

With snowballs in our fists we shall resist.

But it’s not a curfew. The govt shuts down for months in the summer, that’s not a curfew either.

The real government never shuts down ( except for now) :)

Hmm. You seemed to jump to blaming the Russians rather quicky... Are you sure you're not just blaming the Russians to use as a front for your Insect army invasion??

North Kildare- buried under very heavy snow. Fair wind whipping it up into drifts, lots of new snow falling. Haven't seen anything like it since 2010, and this is undoubtedly worse.

    Pretty much exactly as advertised.

Or... or am I just seeing what They want me to see? They planted the ideas, the imagery... all day long on the radio and the Twitter and the Instagram. Christmas FM... of course they're in on it. Christmas tunes and snowmen with artsy filters.
