    Hi all,

I am after breaking the heatsink push pins. What is the best solution for this? Am I better off getting a whole new fan with a new heatsink or is it possible to just get replacement parts?

Has anybody done this with the stock intel heatsink fan?

There is usually a few of them on adverts (assuming you have thermal paste to put on it)

Toothpaste will do if your stuck for a temporary solution but make sure you remove it all when replacing it with thermal compound.

I see the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO is compatible with my Cooler Master N200. I might see if I can order one.

Arctic Freezer i32 & Raijintek Themis

Better cooling / quieter than Hyper 212 Evo for the same price.

Is it best to remove the motherboard and then add the CPU cooler to it or would it be okay to do this with the case lying down on its side?

The CPU cooler will be delivered today so I should be able to install it this evening.

Usually best to remove the motherboard, putting it on a piece of cardboard or wood so as to avoid static electricity. If you have gotten the Arctic Freezer cooler, you probably need to remove it in order to attach the mounting bracket.
Also, remember to only use a grain of rice sized amount of thermal paste. You generally don't need to spread it around as the compression will do that for you, no harm if you do though.

I got the Raijintek Themis in the end. What do you usually use to spread it? A small piece of cardboard?

Don't use anything, just plop a rice-sized drop on the centre of the CPU.
