Channel 4 HD is on my Freesat EPG until end of the day Friday, after that all TV shows listed are blank.

Out of interest who owns Freeview, the UK equivalent of Saorview?

BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Sky and Arqiva who run the transmitters

Kingofsat news is reporting that More 4 HD is gone from Sky. Along with TG4 HD and Chelsea TV HD on the same transponder.

Just a tweak of the transponders surely?

Does that mean TG4 HD will no longer be on sky?

    Going HD on saorview?

I think TG4 will have to go HD at some stage. I'd imagine the vast majority of their sports viewers are on saorview.

It is only a matter of time before sports bodies won't sell rights unless it is on the hd platform.

DTV Services Ltd, a joint venture between the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Sky and transmitter operator Arqiva, basically the multiplex licensees and Sky. IIRC back when ITV Digital failed Sky were precluded from obtaining a terrestrial multiplex licence but stayed involved with the creation of Freeview.

A separate company DMOL (DTT Multiplex Operators Ltd.), owned by the multiplex licensees BBC, ITV, C4, and Arqiva, is responsible for the technical side of the platform.

Someone has it wrong about TG4 HD.

That Lyngsat packages list was well out of date even before today's changes. Scan the transponder.

There is some chat on digital spy about the EPG entries being extended for 48 hours and that that might indicate some negotiations.

That is all speculation of course.

Got my Mediaportal / EPG Collector setup running now with the Sky EPG, so I'm all sorted whatever they decide.

Channel 4 HD gone from my Freesat enabled TV .

It used to ask if you wanted the HD version if you selected SD , now it doesn't any more .

Still have Channel 4 HD through MediaPortal , and have the 7 day listings using the WebEPG plugin .

    Yep, All4 gone also.

The channel may be gone on the Freesat EPG but I can still access my 4HD recordings on my Humax HDR1010s

That was always going to be the case, they said as such in their initial press release.

I was able to add CH4 HD as a non-freesat channel to my HDR-1100S, not ideal but at least the few shows we watch will be in a decent quality, no option for record though and the small issue of switching back and forth from freesat mode to non-freesat mode takes a little longer.

For anybody with an Enigma 2 box using CrossEPG, I've gotten the EPG back through Setup/EPG/CrossEPG/OpenTV Providers, ticking "Sky UK" and "Download" (this is on OpenVIX 5.1 so the menu path might differ slightly as things sometimes shuffle around a bit).

So far it's picking up the autotimers I'd previously set up fine

And there won't be until CH4 decide to pump out the ROI CH4 version in HD. They should, seeing as they are getting plenty of money from the Irish adverts, but no sign of it happening any time soon.

It's not because there isn't a Channel 4 HD with Irish Ads, Channel 4 HD is on Virgin Media here

It's the same reason More4 +1 and 4seven aren't on the Irish Sky EPG, they don't want to pay for additional EPG slots
