Flint Town looks like it could be a good Doc. Surprised to see Michael Moore's names not attached as he himself grew up in flint a point he likes to make in every documentary he's ever made, although the fact he is highlighting a lot of the problems affecting these small rural towns is commendable.

I've been wanting to watch The Three Amigos for ages now, delighted it's coming to Netflix.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is already on Netflix so I wonder would that be the original Swedish film being added?

I hope "Downfall" is the Hitler film with Bruno Ganz and "I Saw The Light" is hopefully the Hank Williams biopic with Tom Hiddlestone.

The Frankenstein Chronicles reminds me a lot of that tv show Taboo starring Tom Hardy. I wonder were parts of it filmed in the same place. Anyway it’s pretty good, I’m on the 2nd episode. Sean Bean is a brilliant actor.

Prisoners is a film starring Hugh Jakeman and Jake Gillenhall. It’s very good. Not sure about night crawler.

Films, the former a drama/thriller (driller?) directed by Denis Villeneuve and starring Jake Gyllenhall and Hugh Jackman about a missing child investigation; the latter a phenomenal dark drama/satire about the individuals who get to the scene of newsworthy incidents like car crashes, assaults and murders and sell their footage to news networks.

Nightcrawler is excellent. Jake Gyllenhaal plays a Stringer. These people try to be the first on the scene for violent crimes, car crashes etc they then in turn sell on the footage to news stations.

I would highly recommend it, imo his best film.

Cardboard Gangsters - been mentioned here a few times, but definitely worth a watch. Really enjoyed it, great story and the acting was excellent.....apart from one scene where Damo Dempsey appears and doesn't really know what to do :)

13 minutes into episode 2 of Black Lightning and I can't watch anymore of it. Unless I missing something, I think it's rubbish.

Make sure to watch The Witch when it's added in March.

It's somewhat of a horror - I'm not really sure if that's the correct genre but I guess it fits - but it's just an astonishingly sinister/dark/evil film. One of my favourite films of the past few years.

Finchy from The Office puts in a fantastic performance.

It's pretty poor after 4 episodes so I think you made the right choice binning it. Don't think I'll bother watching any more.

Oh well, give me an easy life and a peaceful death.

I think with directors like himself and Aronofsky they thread a fine to line between genius and disaster but you gotta respect them for trying to do unconventional things, not always gonna be come off.
