Guys, for anyone who lost coins in bitGrail, truly sorry for your loss today.

This can’t be good news for anyone. Small or large funds, a loss can easily take its toll.

If anyone is feeling really ****, down over this, or wants to just blow off steam over what’s happened today, I’d be happy to buy you a beer.

Yeah sorry to anyone who lost money. It is heat breaking reading through some of the posts from people on reddit.

At the end of the day anyone who owned this suffered losses as clearly the price has been suppressed for months by the dumping all of this XRB.

I have/had some nano on bitgrail. Is there any point in uploading documents to get verified? Has anyone here been verified on that site?

Lots of us verified, albeit some time ago.

If they fix the site and reopen it, I certainly think it's worthwhile trying to get verified.

What sort of investor would leave 147k of Nano on BitGrail?

You would have to be insane to be handing over your identification to that Bomber lad.

Clearly he was probably involved but at the very least is highly untrustworthy as demonstrated by his conversation with the devs.

On bomber if some random-er on the internet could see this problem 10 days ago then a less than 1% chance it wouldn't have been noticed by the site before yesterday.

If he bought them early then it wouldn’t be an outrageous amount to have

He was hampered in his withdrawals by the 10BTC daily limit, and since nano withdrawals were disabled there was no way to put them onto a wallet and thats how a lot have been done in by bitgrail

    Anyone tempted to buy more?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,877 ✭✭✭SureYWouldntYa

    Anyone tempted to buy more?

Its been bad news after bad news for xrb, not fud but actual bad news

The technology itself is very good obviously but i dunno about the short to medium term outlook probably isn’t good

But crypto doesn’t react in the way you’d think it would a lot of the time so who knows what to think, i expected to see a much sharper drop but there hasnt been

Bomber is shady as **** now.

Something seriously fishy is going on and he's covering up. Albeit in a very very bad way.

Glad Nano core team have distanced themselves from him and from what I can see, they're being open about it.

Loads of people now coming forward on reddit to say they were getting double deposits on BitGrail. There is a chat log from one person who tried to bring it to the attention of people on the discord but got completely shot down that he was just creating FUD. Few people have said they sent support tickets to Bomber detailing the problem and he completely ignored them.

Double spending on Kucoin, it might be the Nano code.
Sell now or curse your heavy bags all the way down to zero.
    The choice is yours.

Few threads on reddit about it. Reply from one of the Devs.
The Core team was notified this morning by KuCoin that approximately 20 withdraws had been double credited. They immediately saw the issue, fixed it, and contacted the Nano Dev Team.

It seems to have been a problem on a KuCoin side but talk about bad timing for it to happen.

Might just take the hit and bail out at this stage.

I hadn't the luxury of getting in early doors at a low price.

I don't know if this coin is just really extremly unlucky, or if it would fail the duck test - cause the margins are very very tight as to which it is.

    Decision time for me.

There is a guy I follow who generally gives really good trading advice around XRB. This is advice to someone who asked about whether to currently sell/hold.
The 100k satoshi floor has never been breached since the original mooning. Never. XRB has gone through **** on like 4 different occasions and has always bounced back around there. Once at 104k. Twice around 109k. Many times around 111-114k.

This time is the first we got so close so long. We're stuck under 110k now and people who previously saw this as "A GREAT TIME TO BUY" are now starting to FUD and become sellers. We actually hit 100k earlier today and bounced off of it. If we hit it again, there will be panic and the price will enter freefall for a bit. Like, 80k-90k or even worse.

Do whatever you want later. Buy back if that's your desire. But I'd GTFO if it breaks 100k and wait until it finds the new floor.

I should say that he is currently not holding any XRB but I think that is more to do with BTC volatility currently and he isn't really holding much of anything right now.

What does he mean by 100k satoshi floor?

So for those of us that did have some Nano on BitGrail, is it 100% gone? Or is there a shred of a chance they might get some of the coins back?

What does he mean by 100k satoshi floor?

    Its price in BTC.

    Orange pilled.

My understanding is they have about 6million nano left in their wallet, so this could be divided amongst those affected. There is no word on that happening though.

Basically it has really good support in that range (Huge whales willing to take whatever they can buy). I think it currently sits at 105k sats. You should always been looking at the price of alts in satoshi. I see this all the time when people are looking at alts and they see a 10% gain and think, look how well it is doing today but BTC has actually gained 20% that day and what they don't realize is that the alt is actually losing value not gaining.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,575 ✭✭✭WhiteMemento9

It was one of the things that had me scratching my head with regards this coin. I remember when the price was hitting $20 hard. It seemed like no matter how much momentum up the price always held at that level. Relative to BTC the satoshi price would come up a little to meet it or would be forced back down to always have a sell off $20. It was like someone was controlling the price to keep it at certain level. Maybe it was just the market naturally but I really feel it was whoever was dumping the coins that caused it thinking back.

It’s mentioned they have 4 million Nano left.

As to wether that will get distributed to the affected accounts, no one knows. But it will be a long time before a decision is made.
