I saw a stat in the paper about how good Dublins was since 2013 and remember seeing how ****e Kerry's was. Is Mayo's bad as well? Monaghan last year, Kerry the year before come to mind.

Why do you think that is? Mayo like to play at pace and MacHale slows them down? Or is it something to do with the amount of night games. Most of Mayo' home games seem to be under lights.

    I don’t know tbh
But this team defo plays better in Croker
Whether it’s a mentality thing, smaller pitch, heavier pitch or a combination of things I don’t know but it is strange . And something that could be a problem with new Super 8s

    It's strange alright.

Should be a real good atmosphere tonight, like last year in Tralee.

It'll be a great test of our younger lads, like Clifford, Burns, O'Shea and Foley on a cold night in a championship like atmosphere.

I am very interested to see how Fitzmaurice will deal with Andy Moran considering the damage he did in the last 3 games.

Paul Murphy on Moran would be my guess for what it`s worth.

It is getting to the stage i cant stand the league. Lol.

Watching mayo and down last game of the league 2 years ago.
Down galloping forward near the end of time looking for a goal that would relegate mayo. The aul fella tearing off the bit of hair he has cos mayo couldnt get a hand on the ball.

Some guy had a radio on the mchale road side of the pitch and everybody yelling they couldnt hear the reports from cork or donegal, while still roaring at the mayo backs.

Ah feck it, I love the league. Lol.

Saying that I dont think a spell in the 2nd division would be such a bad thing.

    Tough games there as well.

Looks like it going to be a horrible evening with intermittent showers.

No sign of rain but colder than the day of the frozen pitch

    Pitch looks in bad shape.

Penalty Scored (for Mayo )...Wa-hey we needed that . Only listening on radio .

How on earth are we only a score down at the break?Blessed,Kerry have totally bossed that first half.

We can't win a ball inside.

Beyond belief we are just a point down . God bless clarkey . Not one person around me thought that penalty wouldn’t be saved !
Douglas was called for by many for years . 3 managers deemed him not good enough which was enough for me .
He is not able to win his own ball. Not inter county standard . End of story

Woeful first half performance. Will be a miracle if Kerry lose this game. They are miles ahead of Mayo thus far.

    Ref bottling it.

We better make a game of it now .

Can't understand why Cillian keeps taking frees when Evan Regan and Jason Doherty can pop them over just as easy. Frustrating especially with 2 extra players

There is no more cynical team than Kerry

I was waiting for the excuses. I didn't have to wait long.

Well we didn't help ourselves with poor decision making and stupid mistakes. Plus Cillian needs to up his free taking. Too many scoreable frees missed. Yes the conditions were poor but it's the same for both teams.

    It was a statement
    The better team won tonight
But when the summer comes Pat Spillanes cribbing about the dirty Nordies will make me smile

Once again we lose with an extra man at home though
Not too many lads putting their hands up for summer selection
Rochford will be criticized for going to the same players
    Well .....
