    Hi,

I'm looking to donate a cot (newborn size) to a charity in Dublin, never been used. Should I contact simon community or a charity that specialises in helping families in this way? Any suggestions?

    thanks
    J

As above- you could contact the SVP- though they might direct you to just donate it to a svp shop. You could also contact a woman’s shelter- they might know of someone who would need it.

The charity shops don’t take cots.

Contact Barnardos . They deal with families who are in need of support

Or contact your local public health nurse who might be aware of a family in need

The svp where I live has a specific furniture store, and they definitely take cots
