Where do you consider the worst city in Ireland. Only interested in the officially listed cities not towns. I haven't been to all of them myself so I would be interested to hear peoples opinions.

All have their problems with drugs, skangers, scumbags etc but I wouldn’t judge a whole city because of it. There’s not one single town in Ireland that doesn’t have these problems.

Sorry I should have said. I'm from Waterford. Good place to live overall, has it's problems like everywhere else but I'm happy enough living here. I like Dublin a lot but have never been to Galway(going to visit soon). Haven't spent enough time in Cork or Limerick to really have an opinion.

I could count them all on one hand.

I mean its a pretty small list if its just cities and not towns. I only really know Dublin well having lived here going on 9 years, only visited the other big cities so its not really enough time to form an opinion.

There are ten cities now. Have they added Dundaaalk and Atlohn or something?

Only interested in the cities. I've seen threads like this before but it's usually about a lot of the towns around the country so I was hoping to focus on cities. The reason I'm asking for the worst instead of the best is that I expected that people would just talk up their own city. Like to hear what people think based on experiences visiting or living in these cities.

Your logic is strangely defective. You can't talk up your own city, so dish the others instead.

    Lisburn

Oh good! Can we include UK cities now too?

Can’t really look past Waterford for crap cities.

The planning during the Celtic Tiger was disgraceful, they absolutely ruined the city. High rate of unemployment, it’s a bit of a hole tbf.

I have visited Waterford only once. It was December 5th, 2012, for one night only. The town had a nice river, and lovely Christmas lights. There was dogshit everywhere, and a local shop sold me an out-of-date carton of Tropicana.

Maybe if we looked at it from the perspective of wasted potential it would spice things up....
