If he was being genuine , then it may seem a bit harsh , but I thought he came across as fake and insincere tbh .

Nope she plays the act of innocent "normal" cute girl who speaks with a baby voice and tells stories that show how "silly" she is, and if somebody tells her something and she knows the correct answer she's not gonna drop the act to correct them because then we'll all know that she's not as naive and childish as she wants us to think she is.
