Hi everyone Im back ...again got as far as the fitness test last year and failed by 2 seconds; so draining the battery on my phone flat out refreshing my emails hoping I pass as I know I can get through the rest good luck to you all

So disheartening! Fair play for sticking at it. You're the type of officer I'd like to be dealing with my family etc. Obviously your dream job :)

Hats off to you for going at it again!
It’s my 2nd time, failed by one mark at the last AC .... ONE!
A buddy of mine said an officer in his station failed 9 times before getting in and he wasn’t exaggerating.
There’s hope for us yet lol

    Hi All,
I've been lurking on here but this is my first post, waiting not the IST results has got the better of me.  I last applied approx 10 years ago!!! Failed the medical at that time. Hoping to get at least through the IST stage. Only another two days max to wait.....eeek.

Best of luck folks, hopefully we hear today! I’ve been constantly checking the JoinPSNI site half expecting them to change the date, but nothing yet so maybe the idea they were just waiting for the feedback poll to close was bang on.

Maybe if it stated “week ending... rather than “week commencing it would have been less stressful lol

My gut told me all week it's today, but when I woke this morning I'm doubting myself.
Hmmm! Good luck everyone. Wishing you all the best :)

Is there a chance Deloitte might want to spend the rest of the day analysing post 10am the survey data... I don't want to build myself up.

PS, if you never hear from me after the IST results are published you know I've gone and thrown the rope up somewhere lol.

    Fingers crossed. Good luck everyone.

No, the evaluation of assessment process will be used for later campaigns and for analysis by themselves and interested parties, it actually has very little to do with us apart from us sending the data

I am still thinking it will be tomorrow unfortunately... I hope for today but don’t want to sit and worry myself all day and then us not get it today

In the words of Swedish House Mafia “Don’t you worry, Don’t you worry child, because heavens got a plan for you”

After re-reading that it maybe isn’t so appropriate XD

I don't want to be a Debbie Downer but the survey doesn't close till tonight.

I think it's unfair the way Deloitte do this...they know the results but keep us hanging on until the last minute..I think we will end up with the results at 3pm tomorrow! 😀😀😀

One weeks notice for an assessment centre is quite frankly, ridiculous

If we don't get results by 5pm it's not gonna be today

Ive been doing AC pracrice since the applications opened lol. It's the part I failed on my last 2 attempts. Every point counts for it.

I’ve practiced here and there for it. However, I find if I practice too much I’ll be totally caught off guard on the day lol
It was actually the written aspect of it that I failed on! My role plays were scored rather well.
I wonder if they’ll change the AC much since the IST was totally changed?

I lost alot of points on it too. I spent far to much time writing it out rough and then only had a few mins to write it in the proper boxes and ended up not getting everything written that should have been.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 271 ✭✭Lockie101

Without going into detail, obviously, what does the written portion of the AC consist of?

It's to do with the particular scenarios that you do on ghe day so cant really give details as it wilk always be different.

If I can give anyone a singke bit of advice it's keep an open mind about names!!
The a.c. was usually run over a long time period and takes alot of staff to run it. So alot of the names in the scenarios can be used for both male and female so different staff can cover each other. E.g. Ashley Robin etc.
For e.g. you may have a scenario where robins wife Rachel got assaulted. Robin and Rachel could be a lesbian couple for some candidates but for others robin may be a man... if that makes sense??
