Seemingly similar screens are coming from dozens of companies, including Sony, LG, etc. So this Lenovo wouldn't be your only choice.

Would an android tablet not make more sense?
I plan on using an android tablet specifically for my home automation and video streaming, mount it on a stand in the hallway or kitchen and don't let the kids at it
